Top Stacks At Final Break

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Cotescu and Chen Both Over a Million

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Zhen Chen
Zhen Chen

Both Sandra Cotescu and Zhen Chen have chip stacks that sit north of a million, and both just played a small pot together.

Cotescu had raised from early position to 18,000 and Zhen Chen called from the next seat over.

They saw a flop of QA9, which went check-check to the A turn. Cotescu checked, Chen bet 58,000, and Cotescu quickly folded.

Perhaps they are playing it safe against each other, but those two are among the big stacks in the room as the final break of the night approaches.

Buhaichuk Coolered Again

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Yevhen Buhaichuk opened from the button and Apostolos Stylianou three-bet to 54,000 from the big blind. Buhaichuk put in a four-bet to 135,000 and after about 30 seconds Stylianou moved all in for 284,000. Buhaichuk asked for a count before calling with a covering stack to put Stylianou at risk.

Apostolos Stylianou: KK All in
Yevhen Buhaichuk: QQ

Both players had premium hands but Stylianou was in front with pocket kings and remained ahead on the 10932A runout to earn a full double up through Buhaichuk, who just a few hands earlier had run ace-king suited into pocket aces.

Neagoe's Stack Moving Up

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Darius Neagoe's stack is slowly moving in the right direction and he now has over 700,000 thanks to a well-executed river value bet.

The board read K4K95 and with around 150,000 in the pot, Andrey Koks checked it over to Neagoe, who made a chunky bet of 115,000. Koks was in the tank for a while and after thinking, he decided to call.

Neagoe then showed A9, and Koks tapped the table and flashed 88 before sending his cards into the muck.

Khordbin Gets There

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Hadi Khordbin in the big blind got all of his chips into the middle on a flop of K84 against the button, which created a pot of around 400,000.

Hadi Khordbin: K10 All in
Button: 44

Khordbin had flopped top pair and a flush draw but was way behind to the set of his opponent. However, that all changed when the 9 dropped on the turn, which improved Khordbin to a flush. Only a board-pairing river would send Khordbin out, but instead the A gave him the nuts and a double-up.

Ruslan Bakhtiev opened to 18,000 from the cutoff and Candido Cappiello three-bet shoved for 48,000 from the small blind. Bakhtiev called with a covering stack to put Cappiello at risk.

Candido Cappiello: A5 All in
Ruslan Bakhtiev: QJ

The board ran out 10JKQ3. Bakhtiev had two pair but Cappiello had made a Broadway straight to double up through Bakhitev, who still holds one of the largest stacks in the room despite the setback.
