Cankurtaranli Gets the Double Knockout

Nicolae Toma limped from early position and Tahsin Cankurtaranli followed with a limp from the next seat. Hassan Nashar raised to 200,000 without looking at his cards from middle position before Krasimir Yankov shoved for 1,045,000 from the hijack. Toma folded, but Cankurtaranli called with the covering stack. Nashar happily called, having still not looked at his cards.

Cankurtaranli had the chance to score the double knockout if he avoided a queen or eight. The board came 10♦7♣3♠5♦10♣ to give Cankurtaranli the winner with Big Slick, sending two players out of the tournament.

Nashar has rebought and is sitting at another table with a fresh starting stack.

Nashar Raises Blind and Busts to Isaia

Alessio Isaia limped in from the hijack before Hassan Nashar raised to 475,000 without looking at his cards. Isaia called and they went to the flop with Nashar having only 15,000 behind.

The two players checked the runout of 6♠2♦Q♥4♥A♣ all the way to the river before Isaia bet enough to commit Nashar. Nashar again called without checking his cards.

Isaia showed A♠5♦ for a pair of aces on the river and Nashar could only muck. Isaia pulled in the pot and Nashar ventured over to the rebuy counter to get a fresh stack.

Aleksandr Kirichenko made it 50,000 to go from under the gun with Seyed Ghavam calling from middle position and Onur Ozgur defending his big blind.

Ozgur checked, and Kirichenko continued with a bet of 75,000 on the J♣10♥3♣ flop. Ghavam called and Ozgur folded.

The 7♥ hit the turn and Kirichenko bet enough to put Gravam all in. Gravham called for his last 300,000 and the cards were tabled.

Kirichenko was ahead with top pair against the second pair of Gravham. As Gravham started to get out of his seat, the dealer dropped the A♠ on the river to improve him to two pair, earning him the double-up.

Mehmet Dalkilic raised to 50,000 from early position with Jan Petersen calling from the button. Ali Al-Kubasi squeezed to 200,000 out of the big blind and Dalkilic four-bet jammed for around 650,000. Petersen folded and Al-Kubasi quickly called.

Al-Kubasi was in the lead with the bigger pair and just had to avoid a seven to send Dalkilic home. The board came 4♣K♥4♠3♦Q♥ which did not assist Dalkilic, and he was out of the tournament.

Chauskin Shoves on Al-Kubasi

Ali Al-Kubasi came in with a raise to 80,000 from the hijack and Natan Chauskin three-bet to 185,000 from the cutoff. Al-Kubasi made the call when it got back to him.

Al-Kubasi checked the 6♥K♦7♦ flop and Chauskin put out a bet of 125,000. Al-Kubasi quickly called to see the 6♦ turn. Al-Kubasi checked and Chauskin was happy to knuckle it back.

The 10♥ fell on the river and Al-Kubasi checked for the last time. Chauskin shoved for 600,000, which was enough to prompt a quick fold from Al-Kubasi.

Dmitry Gromov opened preflop from the hijack and was called by Oleg Semionov in the small blind and Joris Ruijs out of the big blind.

The blinds checked to Gromov on the 2♣5♦7♥ flop and he fired out a continuation-bet of 80,000. Semionov folded, buy Ruijs called.

Both players checked the 8♣ turn and 5♣ river. Ruijs turned over K♥2♥ for bottom pair, which was enough to win him the pot.
