Kopyl Spikes a Ten to Survive

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Dmitrii Kopyl
Dmitrii Kopyl

Dmitrii Kopyl made it 3,000,000 to go from under the gun and Daniel Abrahamsson shoved from the big blind. Kopyl had around 2,000,000 behind and put them all in the middle to leave him at risk.

Dmitrii Kopyl: J10 All in
Daniel Abrahamsson: AJ

Kopyl was way behind but found a ten on the 610Q flop to take the lead. Abrahamsson did pick up a Broadway draw, but he couldn't find it as both the 4 turn and Q river were bricks.

Isaia Back in Business

Level 35 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Atanas Malinov made it 1,000,000 to go on the button and Alessio Isaia shoved for just over 5,000,000 from the big blind. Malinov called.

Alessio Isaia: A3 All in
Atanas Malinov: 88

Isaia was at risk of becoming the fifth-place finisher and took a step closer to the payout desk after the J42 flop. The Italian player did pick up a gutshot to a wheel, but it was the A on the turn that also worked for him as he paired his ace. Only a river eight could send Isaia home, but the 3 instead improved him to two pair and earned him a double.

Abrahamsson Gets Lucky Against Gulseven

Level 35 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Daniel Abrahamsson
Daniel Abrahamsson

Daniel Abrahamsson is a lucky, lucky man after being on the brink of the payout desk to near the chip lead.

Erdal Gulseven opened to 1,000,000 from the cutoff and Abrahamsson three-bet to 3,500,000 out of the small blind. Gulseven then shoved, and Abrahamsson called off the extra 3,575,000 he had behind for 7,075,000 total.

Erdal Gulseven: KQ

Abrahamsson was away behind but found a great flop when the dealer put out 1036, giving him top pair. A 9 on the turn did give Gulseven a gutshot to a straight, but the 4 bricked off, earning Abrahamsson a double-up.

Gulseven Short After Tangling With Isaia

Level 35 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Erdal Gulseven limped in from the small blind and Alessio Isaia checked out of the big blind to see a flop of 85J, where Gulseven check-called a bet of 700,000 from Isaia.

A J on the turn saw Gulseven check again, then Isaia bet 900,000. Gulseven then check-raised to 2,000,000, and Isaia called.

With just 1,500,000 behind, Gulseven waved the white flag and checked when the Q hit the river, then folded when Isaia bet enough to put him all-in.

Erdal Gulseven Eliminated in 5th Place ($52,530)

Level 35 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Erdal Gulseven
Erdal Gulseven

Erdal Gulseven shoved for 1,925,000 from the cutoff and Alessio Isaia called from the button. Daniel Abrahamsson also called from the small blind.

Both active players checked the 109K flop to the 7 turn, where Abrahamsson bet 1,800,000 and Isaia quickly folded.

Erdal Gulseven: K9 All in
Daniel Abrahamsson: K10

Gulseven surely would have felt like he had the winner until he saw the hand of Abrahamsson, which meant he had just two outs to survive. The 8 river was close, but not close enough for Gulseven, who has to settle for fifth.

Kopyl's River Bet Goes Uncalled

Level 35 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

The action has slowed down a bit since play got four-handed with the remaining players being a bit cautious.

In the latest hand, Daniel Abrahamsson limped in from the small blind and Dmitrii Kopyl checked his option from the big blind.

Both checked the 5510 flop to the J turn, where Abrahamsson bet 600,000 and Kopyl called. An A landed on the river and after Abrahamsson checked, Kopyl bet 1,800,000. Abrahamsson quickly folded.
