He was followed by Kirill Burtin (534,000), Osman Ihlamur (513,500), and Maciej Toma (497,000), all of whom built strong stacks throughout the flight.

Also in the mix again was Hassan Nashar, who topped the Day 1a counts with 699,500 but decided to jump into Day 1b for another spin. Playing under the name “El Patron” to avoid overwriting his already-qualified stack, Nashar built up over 600,000 during the day before being eliminated late in the final level. Only his Day 1a stack will carry forward, but for Nashar, it was all about the fun...and the flex.
With two more Day 1 flights still to come, the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool continues to inch upward. Day 1c gets underway later tonight at 9:00 p.m. local time, followed by the final turbo flight, Day 1d, on July 30 at 10:00 a.m.

Osman Ihlamur opened the button to 5,000 and got three-bet by the small blind to 18,500. After the big blind folded, Ihlamur called.
Ihlamur called a bet of 11,500 on the 8♠Q♦4♦ flop and then knuckled all the way to showdown on the 8♣9♥ runout.
The small blind showed A♦K♣ for ace-high, but Ihlamur had a pair of sevens with 7♥7♦ to take the pot.
Elsewhere, it didn't end well for Hassan Nashar aka El Patron in the closing level, as his stack of 600,000 was dusted off as he attempted to become the chip leader in back-to-back flights. But what an effort.

Senol Ardic is a very happy man right now after just spiking the river to stay alive.
Ardic shipped in his stack of almost 70,000 from the big blind over some initial action, and the button eventually dropped in a call.
Senol Ardic: Q♥J♥
Button: A♣7♣
It looked bleak for Ardic on the A♥10♣A♠ flop as his opponent flopped trip aces, and the 5♦ turn left him with just one shot at four outs. Nonetheless, one shot was all he needed as the K♣ on the river completed Ardic's Broadway draw, which earned him the double-up.
