Ilani and Tsouloftas With Similar Stacks

Level 6 : Blinds 800/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player in middle position opened to 3,000 and Georgios Tsouloftas three-bet to 10,000 from the cutoff. When it got back to the initial raiser, he just called.

Tsoulotas took it down with a bet of 10,000 on the 456 flop, which saw his stack grow to around 120,000.

Ran Ilani is seated on the same table and his stack is similar, with around 130,000 to play with as the second break edges closer.

Ojeil Rivers a Full House

Level 5 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Chady Ojeil, featured earlier in one of Merit Poker’s Player Cards, is now up and running in Day 1b of the IPO Master.

With around 30,000 in the middle on a Q42J board, Ojeil checked from under the gun and the hijack fired out 22,000. Ojeil just called.

A J paired the board on the river and Ojeil checked it over again, and was taken to showdown as the hijack knuckled back.

Ojeil then revealed a full house with 22, which was good for the pot.

Hasbani Doubles Through LeBlond

Level 5 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a flop of 697, Antoine Hasbani got the last of his chips in and was put at risk by Benjamin LeBlond, for a pot worth around 80,000.

Antoine Hasbani: 98 All in
Benjamin LeBlond: JJ

LeBlond was in the lead with his pair of jacks, but had to dodge a world of outs as Hasbani had an open-ender with a pair. That pair improved to trips on the 9 turn, which left LeBlond with just two outs to secure the knockout.

Neither of those jacks appeared on the 4 river, and Hasbani doubled up.

Spataru On the Right Side of a Cooler

Andrei Spataru

With around 30,000 in the middle on a 439 flop, Andrei Spataru fired out 13,500 and Kianoosh Matin shoved. Spataru had around 65,000 behind and immediately called, leaving him at risk.

Andrei Spataru: AA All in
Kianoosh Matin: QQ

Spataru found himself on the right side of the cooler, and didn't need to fade any outs after the A turn improved him to an unbeatable set. A meaningless 3 filled out the board and the stacks were counted down. Matin was up on his feet and ready to go, but realized he had 1,500 remaining in his stack.

"Chip and a chair," said Spataru.

Farah's Turn Bet Does the Trick

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There was a raise from the button and call from the small blind before Elie Farah made it 13,000 to go from the big blind. Only the button called.

Farah continued for 7,500 on the 10A9 flop, and got a call to see the 2 drop on the turn. Farah took a look at his opponents' stack and then announced a bet of 22,000. That was enough to force a fold, earning Farah the pot.
