Guler Pays Off Isaia's Value Bet

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Suhan Guler
Suhan Guler

Three players saw the flop come down 9510. Joseph Sabe checked from the big blind, and Suhan Guler knuckled the table from under the gun. Alessio Isaia bet 10,000 from the button, which only Guler called.

Guler checked the 3 turn and Isaia bet again, this time for 21,000. Guler briefly thought, and then made the call.

The 9 appeared on the river and Guler checked for the last time. Isaia fired out 20,000 and Guler called.

Isaia turned over just a pair of tens with J10, which was enough to win him the pot.

Szammer Collects Kopyl's Stack

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Dmitrii Kopyl had shoved around 90,000 preflop and was put at risk by Thomas Szammer, who had just a few more chips than his opponent.

Dmitrii Kopyl: 77 All in
Thomas Szammer: AQ

Kopyl was ahead with his pair of sevens, but the 53Q flop gave Szammer top pair. A 6 on the turn did give Kopyl a gutshot, but the 2 river bricked off, sending him to the rail.

Ma Folds a Straight to Bekil

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Metin Bekil checked from under the gun on the 688 flop and Ma placed out a bet of 11,000 from middle position. Bekil made the call.

The 5 appeared on the turn and Bekil led out for 27,500. Ma flicked in the call.

Bekil slowed down and checked the K river, prompting Ma to bet 55,000. Bekil mustered together a check-raise to 212,000, causing Ma to throw his hands up and go into the tank.

After doing some inventory and pondering for a while, Ma folded while showing 97 for a straight. Bekil refused to show and Ma said to him, "Nice bluff, be careful".

Afsharorumieh and Burlacu Chop

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Claudiu-Mihai Burlacu came through Day 1b as the chip leader and was tangling in a pot with Afshin Afsharorumieh early on Day 2.

The board read 102A2 and Burlacu had fired a pot-sized bet of 17,000 on the turn from the hijack, which Afsharorumieh called on the button.

A 7 filled out the board and Burlacu fired again, this time for 50,500. Afsharorumieh didn't need to think for too long before he called.

Burlacu then flipped AQ, and Afsharorumieh showed the same hand with AQ, which meant they chopped up the pot.

Musinyan Claws Back Some Chips After Slow Start

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Gor Musinyan
Gor Musinyan

Gor Musinyan got off to a bad start in Day 2 after he lost a chunk of his chips, but he did just claw some back.

Yossi Eluz opened from under the gun to 4,000 and Antonio Califano called in the next seat. Lavrentiy Ni called in the hijack before Musinyan three-bet to 26,000 from the cutoff. Eluz called, then Califano shoved for 40,500. Both Musinyan and Eluz called, while Ni got out of the way.

On the 7Q6 flop, Musinyan's bet of 21,000 saw Eluz quickly folded.

Antonio Califano: K10 All in
Gor Musinyan: AJ

Califano was in trouble, and was left drawing dead when the 3 landed on the turn, completing the nut flush for Musinyan. The irrelevant 4 fell on the river, and Califano hit the rail.
