Hammi Doubles With Aces

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Mohamed Ameur Hammi made it 100,000 on the button and Oleksii Shchukin three-bet the small blind to 300,000. Hammi jammed for 755,000, and Shchukin called.

Mohamed Ameur Hammi: AA All in
Oleksii Shchukin: 44

Shchukin's sailboats had some similarities to aces, but it was Hammi who held the real ones.

Hammi faded the bad beat on the 2587J boar, and scored the double-up to boost his stack into seven-figure territory.

Jon Kyte raised from under the gun and Shai Zurr jammed for around 500,000 from middle position. When it got back to Kyte he immediately put in the call.

Shai Zurr: 77
Jon Kyte: AA

Kyte looked likely to score another knockout in the tournament and add even more chips to his stack, as his aces had Zurr's pocket sevens on the ropes.

Zurr couldn't find any help on the 3434J runout and he was out in 21st place, while Kyte's stack soared to 6,000,000.

Poker can be a cruel, cruel game sometimes.

Yaser Sakarya raised from under the gun to 80,000 and Bogdan Jontulovic three-bet to 200,000 from the next seat. When the action was back on Sakarya, he shoved, and Jontulovic snap-called for his stack of around 900,000.

Bogdan Jontulovic: KK All in
Yaser Sakarya: QQ

Jontulovic was well ahead with his cowboys, but fell behind as the 9Q5 flop gave Sakarya a set of queens.

A king is what Jontulovic needed, but none were in sight on the 610 runout, which meant he was eliminated in 22nd.

Oleksii Shchukin opened the button to 80,000 and Nver Maryanyan shoved 455,000 from the small blind. Shchukin quickly called.

Oleksii Shchukin: A7

Maryanyan needed to win the flip, but a lot more outs needed to be faded as the flop of 8JQ gave Shchukin a flush draw.

The 3 turn was cleam for Maryanyan, but the 7 river paired his opponent, which left him on the rail in 23rd.

Pasquale Di Ceglie Eliminated in 24th Place (€3,800)

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

From early position, Pasquale Di Ceglie shoved for 770,000 and was called by Bljerim Imeri out of the cutoff. Once the rest of the table folded, the players flipped up their cards.

Pasquale Di Ceglie: AJ All in
Bljerim Imeri: AQ

Di Ceglie was in bad shape against the superior ace of Imeri and needed to find some hearts or a jack to survive.

A flop of 537 kept Imeri out in front, although Di Ceglie picked up a flush draw on the 6 turn. The 6 on the river was blank and Di Ceglie was the first elimination of Day 4 in 24th place.

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Dorjan Ushe opened to 80,000 in the hijack and Bljerim Imeri called on the button. Oleksii Shchukin also called from the big blind.

On the 882 flop, it checked to Ushe, who bet 125,000. Imeri folded, and Shchukin moved all in for 855,000. Ushe took around two minutes of intense staring at Shchukin before he laid it down.

Elsewhere, Yaser Sakarya opened the cutoff to 80,000 and Andrei Daniliuk three-bet the small blind to 240,000. Sakarya called.

On the K27 flop, a bet of 175,000 did the trick for Daniliuk as Sakarya folded.
