Zhugralin Survives on the River

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Damir Zhugralin
Damir Zhugralin

Damir Zhugralin three-bet to 255,000 from the cutoff and was called by Michael Uguccioni in early position.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Zhugralin continued for 75,000. Uguccioni took his time before moving all in, and Zhugralin quickly called for his last 655,000.

Zhugralin had {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} for top pair, but Uguccioni flopped two pair with {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Zhugralin stood up from his seat as the {4-Diamonds} turn left him one card away from elimination, but he spiked the {a-Hearts} on the river to make trips and double up.

Fahredin Mustafov
Fahredin Mustafov

Soon after losing the pot to Mikhail Zamyatin, Fahredin Mustafov shoved all in from the button for 150,000. "How much," Alexandru Cinca asked in the big blind before he called.

Fahredin Mustafov: {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Alexandru Cinca: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Cinca's nine-kicker was enough to send Mustafov to the payout desk.

Atanas Pavlov: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Pavlov stood up from his seat as the dealer turned over the {2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. The turn came the {4-Clubs} and the river {3-Diamonds} as Pavlov failed to connect and was sent to the rail a few minutes before the dinner break.

Aleksandr Ivanov
Aleksandr Ivanov

Recep Aydemir raised to 60,000 from middle position before Aleksandr Ivanov moved all in for 530,000 in the hijack. Aydemir slammed in the chips to call when action folded back to him.

Aleksandr Ivanov: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Recep Aydemir: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

"Ah," Aydemir cried when he found out he was dominated. Ivanov stood up from his seat to await the {7-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} board.

Both players made a pair of aces, but Ivanov's king-kicker played to earn him a double up.

Cinca Has Duta Crushed

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Alexandru Cinca
Alexandru Cinca

Florian Duta and Alexandru Cinca were heads-up on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} when Cinca moved all in for 410,000. Duta gave a deep sigh and reluctantly threw in a chip to call.

Alexandru Cinca:{a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Florian Duta: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Duta's instincts proved correct as Cinca had woken up with aces. The board ran out {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Cinca doubled up.

"That's why you fold pre," Fahredin Mustafov joked with Duta after the hand. "Not possible to fold that board. Too strong."

"I fold 20 to 30 hands in a row. Every time I raise I get reraised. What kind of table is this," Cinca added with a smile as he took in the pot.

Moein on Wrong Side of Another Flip

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ali Moein
Ali Moein

Ali Moein was just involved in another pre-flop coin flip, and this one would prove to have the same result and lead to his elimination from the tournament.

Moein was all in for 450,000 with {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and up against Roman Gadzhiev holding {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Gadzhiev paired his ace on the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop, then improved to a flush on the {3-Clubs} turn.

Already drawing dead, Moein could only watch helplessly as the {4-Spades} fell on the river before the overwhelming chip leader on Day 1 was sent to the rail.

Abakirov Mis-Clicks, Still Puts a Big Dent in Mustafov's Stack

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Kubanychbek Abakirov
Kubanychbek Abakirov

Blind versus blind on a board of {6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}, Kubanychbek Abakirov bet 325,000 and Fahredin Mustafov called to the {4-Hearts} river.

Abakirov this time counted out a bet of 605,000 and used both hands to slide the big towers of chips into the middle. Mustafov snap-called by throwing in a single chip.

Abakirov opened up {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for trip sixes and Mustafov mucked.

After the hand, Abakirov explained that he raised to 135,000 before the flop thinking the blinds were 40,000 instead of 20,000.

"You misclicked? Misclicks always make money," tablemate Daniel Montagnolli said.

"Or you bust," Abakirov joked as the two players shared a laugh.

Gabi Livshitz
Gabi Livshitz

Gabi Livshitz survived the money bubble with just a few big blinds and moved all in for 110,000 on the button. Kubanychbek Abakirov raised to 200,000 in the small blind before Fahredin Mustafov reshoved in the big blind. Abakirov got out of the way.

Gabi Livshitz: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Fahredin Mustafov: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

"I have a pretty good hand for the situation," Livshitz said as he turned over his cards. The flop came {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, followed by the {7-Hearts} on the turn.

The river {6-Hearts} was no help to Livshitz and he headed for the payout desk.

Mohammad Qasem moved all in for 385,000 from under the gun as action folded around to Ghassan Abou Khalil in the big blind, who tanked for a moment before calling.

Mohammad Qasem: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Ghassan Abou Khalil: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Qasem was dominated and fell further behind on the {4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop as Abou Khalil made top pair. Qasem had a flush draw but missed the {3-Spades} turn and {7-Clubs} river to bust on the money bubble.

The remaining 71 players are now all in the money.
