Reichenstein Can't Get Chilaud Off Jacks

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Maxime Chilaud
Maxime Chilaud

Maxime Chilaud three-bet to 700,000 from the small blind and Uri Reichenstein called.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Chilaud continued for 440,000. Reichenstein called to see the {10-Clubs} on the turn as Chilaud slowed down and checked.

Reichenstein now moved all in for 2,460,000 and Chilaud spent several minutes in the tank before he called to put Reichenstein at risk. Reichenstein had {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for a flush draw, while Chilaud showed {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

The {8-Diamonds} on the river failed to improve Reichenstein and he was sent to the payout desk while Chilaud raked in the massive pot.

Spasov Finds Aces At Perfect Moment

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Simeon Spasov
Simeon Spasov

Aleksander Ivanov moved all in for 880,000 from middle position before Denis Kapustin re-jammed from the cutoff. Simeon Spasov then called off his stack of 2,450,000 on the button with the blinds getting out of the way.

Aleksander Ivanov: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Simeon Spasov: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Denis Kapustin: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Spasov had found aces at the perfect moment and looked set to score more than a double up while Ivanov was in dire straits. The {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} changed little although the {10-Diamonds} turn did prove Ivanov with a glimmer of hope. No miracle comeback was on the cards, however, as the {q-Spades} river completed the board to send a huge pot Spasov's direction.

Magalashvili Wins Classic Flip For Stacks

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Michael Magalashvili
Michael Magalashvili

A player opened to 60,000 from under the gun before Michael Magalashvili three-bet to 180,000 from early position. Action then folded around to Maher Nouira in the small blind who four-bet jammed for 1,350,000. The big blind and original raiser quickly vacated the pot to send the action back to Magalashvili who pondered his decision for some time. He did end up making the call with the covering stack to put Nouira at risk.

Maher Nouira: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Michael Magalashvili: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

It was a classic flip and one for over 2,000,000. What began as a fair fight quickly became one sided after the flop landed {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs}. The {k-Spades} turn ended matters prior to the inconsequential {9-Diamonds} river to send Nouira packing while Magalashvili's heater of a day continues.

Tsoy Snaps Off Tantillo

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Oleg Tsoy
Oleg Tsoy

With already around 300,000 in the middle, Oleg Tsoy bet 150,000 from the big blind on a flop of {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Fausto Tantillo called in the hijack.

The turn came the {7-Diamonds} and Tsoy continued for 405,000. Tantillo then moved all in and Tsoy snap-called for 250,000 more.

Tantillo gave off a shrug already suspecting he was beat as he showed {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. His instincts were right, as Tsoy turned over {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. The river came the {2-Clubs} and Tsoy earned the massive double up.

Jazzar Raises Rezaei

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Maroun Jazzar
Maroun Jazzar

Picking up the action on the turn, Daniel Rezaei from under the gun was involved in a hand with a player in the big blind and Maroun Jazzar in middle position. With the board reading {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} the big blind checked to Rezaei who led out for 180,000. Jazzar called while the big blind folded to send action heads-up to the river.

The {5-Clubs} river completed the board and Rezaei fired again, this time sizing up to 335,000. Jazzar leaned back in his chair, muttered "impossible", and then proceeded to raise to 800,000. Rezaei grimaced, checked his hole cards and folded while Jazzar turned over {q-}{j-} for the nuts to take down a large pot.

Daniel Myers
Daniel Myers

Daniel Myers was all in for around 275,000 from the button and up against Atanas Pavlov in the big blind.

Daniel Myers: {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Atanas Pavlov: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

Myers picked up a flush draw on the {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop, but improved no further on the {6-Spades} turn or {6-Hearts} river.

"Good luck, gentlemen," he told his tablemates as he went off to the payout desk.

Magalashvili Delivers Soul Crushing Beat

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Michael Magalashvili
Michael Magalashvili

A player opened to 50,000 from middle position and was called by Michael Magalashvili in late position. Action then folded to Luc Bindel in the big blind and he three-bet to 230,000. That got a fold from the original raiser but Magalashvili made the call to see a flop.

Bindel continued for 150,000 on a flop of {4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and was called by Magalashvili.

The {8-Clubs} turn saw Bindel push all in for a little over 700,000, a move that sent Magalashvili into the tank. After some time he made the call with the covering stack to put Bindel at risk.

Luc Bindel: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Michael Magalashvili: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Bindel was in a good spot to secure a huge double but would need to fade his opponent's straight outs as well as the last two sevens in the deck. The river came {9-Hearts} to complete Magalashvili's straight and send Bindel to the rail in brutal fashion. Magalashvili, meanwhile, scooped a massive pot to send him to the top of the chip counts by some margin.

Yury Bochkarev
Yury Bochkarev

Yury Bochkarev moved all in for 275,000 from under the gun as action folded to Maroun Jazzar in the small blind. He asked for a count before calling to put Bochkarev at risk.

Yury Bochkarev: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Maroun Jazzar: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Bochkarev was looking for an ace to survive as Merit Poker cameras and a large crowd surrounded the table. The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Bochkarev made a quick exit two spots off the money.

The remaining 90 players are now on the money bubble.

Aydemir Picks Off Montagnolli, Impresses His Dad

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Davut Aydemir
Davut Aydemir

Davut Aydemir raised to 35,000 from middle position before Daniel Montagnolli three-bet to 100,000 on the button. Aydemir called and they went heads-up to the {7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop.

Both players checked and the {a-Clubs} fell on the turn. Aydemir now led out for 100,000 and Montagnolli came back with a raise to 325,000.

Aydemir quickly called to see the {6-Hearts} fall on the river, when Montagnolli moved all in. Aydemir, with 427,000 remaining, tanked for about two minutes before he called.

Montagnolli nodded his head in resignation as he turned over {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Aydemir had {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for a pair of aces as he earned the massive double up.

"I can't make that call. I can't," Recep Aydemir, watching his son on the rail, said.

Smuskevicius Shows Down Jacks in Three-Way Pot

Boris Smuskevicius
Boris Smuskevicius

Boris Smuskevicius bet 50,000 on a board of {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} before Boris Angelov, next to act, raised to 180,000. Efraim Tavdi called the raise on the button while Smuskevicius let out a loud sigh before he also called.

The river came the {10-Spades} and all three players quickly checked. Smuskevicius turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Angelov mucked. Tavdi took one last look at the board before he tossed away {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

"You're welcome," Angelov told Smuskevicius as he raked in the big pot.
