Andy Black, although born in Belfast, northern Ireland, started playing poker seriously whilst studying at Trinity College here in Dublin. Since then he's been a mainstay on the Irish poker scene, accruing nearly $5m in lifetime cashes.
His biggest cash came in 2005 when he finished fifth in the WSOP Main Event for $1,750,000 and he followed that up two years later with a final table in the Aussie Millions Main Event finishing third for $556,695.
Sitting on top of the Irish all-time money list, Black will no doubt be wishing to add a Platinum Pass to an already lengthy and illustrious poker resume.
