Welcome to the Moneymaker’s Road to PSPC event in London!

This event, hosted by Chris Moneymaker himself, is taking place at Le Meridien, Piccadilly, in the heart of London's West End, and today sees the first of two starting flights.

A Platinum Pass worth more than €26,000 will be awarded, which gives free entry to the €22,500 PokerStars Players NL Hold’em Championship (PSPC) in Barcelona in 2020, as well as six nights' standard accommodation (for two persons) at a five-star hotel in Barcelona.

Registration for the Moneymaker’s Road to PSPC will be open for six levels on Day 1. Players receive 30,000 chips and will have one re-entry available, and a reminder that players can only register for one flight at a time.

Lovelock "Here to Win"

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Colin Lovelock is a regular around Europe and the United States with over $400,000 in live earnings. His biggest cash to-date is a sixth place finish in EPT Monte Carlo €2,200 National High Roller for €30,800 back in 2017.

"I've only shown up to win the Pass," Lovelock told us as he entered the tournament area.

Can he lock up a Platinum Pass here in London?

Small Pot Gets Away from Sakallioglu

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

The player under the gun opened to 300 and Ali Sakallioglu called in the small blind. The big blind also called and they went three ways to a flop of {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

It checked to the pre-flop aggressor who bet 300. Sakallioglu was the only caller. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and both players checked.

Sakallioglu bet 600 and his opponent promptly called. Sakallioglu showed {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for king-high and a missed flush draw, with his opponent winning the small pot with {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Jimmy Kebe played 175 times for Reading between 2008 and 2013, helping them reach the Premier League. Now 35, Kebe has since retired and has been seen at numerous poker tournaments around Europe.

A recent string of good results, including an almost $100,000 score in Marrakech has put his live earnings at $366,000. Kebe will be looking to emulate the success here in the capital from March last year, when he finished second in the PokerStars Live London Series for £13,882.
