Kelly Loses Flip to Sweeney

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Juliet Kelly won her seat into Moneymaker's Road to PSPC 2020 through the Hippodrome ladies club, and was all in against Barry Sweeney.

Sweeney was at risk for his last 31,500 chips holding {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Kelly would need to win a flip with {k-Spades}{q-Spades}.

The flop {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} changed nothing, and although the {7-Spades} turn gave Sweeney a set it also gave Kelly outs to a flush. However, the river was the {8-Clubs} and Sweeney doubled up, with Kelly down to just three big blinds just before the break.

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Ben Martin
Ben Martin

Ben 'TheBenMartin98' Martin is an active member of the Lex Veldhuis community and had jumped into the Moneymaker's Road to PSPC 2020 field today to try and win a Platinum Pass.

He hadn't had it all his own way, but had grinded up a stack over the eight hours that the tournament has been going. However, after blinding down to eight big blinds, he got {a-}{4-} in against {7-}{7-} and was eliminated.

He told us that he will be looking forward to future Moneymaker Road to PSPC events, including the one at Aspers next month (Nov 4-10).
