Schneider Triples Up; Brankin Eliminated

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Justin Bateson opened to 100,000 and got called by Eduardo Schneider. Pete Brankin moved all in for 284000 and both players called.

The duo checked the {5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop and on the {3-Clubs} turn Bateson moved all in. Schneider only had 35,000 behind and called, with all cards being turned over.

Justin Bateson: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Eduardo Schneider: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Pete Brankin: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Brankin was drawing dead with top pair against the set of Bateson. Schneider needed a queen and got it on the {q-Hearts} river to give him a straight and chip up to just under 900,000.

David Gough opened to 55,000 and called a shove from Alvin Tafalla from the big blind for 260,000.

David Gough: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Alvin Tafalla: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The flop came {2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Clubs} giving Gough a set. The turn {9-Clubs} had Tafalla calling for another club to chop, but the river {8-Spades} could only improve Gough to quads and eliminate Tafalla.

Peter Sweeney opened to 45,000 and Stephen Baker defended his big blind.

The flop came {4-}{5-}{q-} and Baker checked. Sweeney continued for 45,000 and Baker check-raised to 175,000. Sweeney re-raised to 340,000 and Baker shoved. Sweeney called with {j-}{j-} but was behind to the {4-}{5-} of Baker.

Suriano Doubles Through Chaaban

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Ali Chaaban was looking to send Mauro Suriano to the rail with the latter all in for 137,000.

Chaaban's {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} was ahead of Suriano's {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and the flop came {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. The turn {4-Spades} improved Suriano to a set and although the {6-Hearts} river gave Chaaban a set of his own, Suriano had made a flush and doubled up.

Chaaban was down to around 40,000 and was eliminated shortly afterwards.
