Jivoin Bets Big on Scary Board

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Three players were in on the flop with {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} on show. Kastriot Shytani bet into the pot and Raafat Sharawi raised it up to 2,200. Stefan-Fabian Jivoin called behind on the cutoff and Shytani made up the difference.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and Shytani bet again, this time for 2,500 and both his opponents called. The {4-Hearts} landed on the river and Shytani and Sharawi checked to Jivoin who made it 7,300 to go. Neither player fancied it with a one-card straight possibility and Jivoin took it down.

Sohel First Out

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

It has been a tough start for Mohammed Sohel, who has been seen walking away from his table after a dealer announced: "seat open!"

There are unlimited re-entries; so though he may be down, he is not necessarily out just yet.

Two Pair Nets Silverman a Decent Pot

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

There were several players in on a {3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} turn. It checked to Daniel Silverman who made it 1,725 to proceed and all but Mohammed Sohel opted to pass.

The rivercard was the {6-Diamonds} and Silverman bet 3,000 in position, which Sohel called. Silverman turned over {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a flopped two-pair and Sohel couldn't beat it, sending his cards into the muck.

Moneymaker’s Road to the PSPC Tour returns to London; with Day 1a kicking off at 6pm

Daniel Stancer - the most recent Platinum Pass winner
Daniel Stancer - the most recent Platinum Pass winner

The Moneymaker’s Road to the PSPC Tour is back for another leg, this time gracing Asper’s Casino in Stratford, London. Following four successful stops, it’s time to return to London for the ever-popular series that gives players the ultimate chance to live the poker dream with a coveted PSPC Platinum Pass* (worth approx. $30,000) up for grabs for the winner.

The man whose name is at the centre of the series, Chris Moneymaker, is the perfect example of how to turn a few dollars and a dream into life-changing money. Back in 2003 Moneymaker did exactly that, converting $86 into $2.5 million by taking down the WSOP Main Event and changing the landscape of poker in the process, with the PokerStars Pro credited as the person who lit the fuse on the poker boom.

The tournament will play out over the next seven days, with seven Day 1 flights taking place between now and Friday 8th November. The winner will join Andrew Barham, who took down the London Meridian Leg (£7,501) and Daniel Stancer, winner of the Newcastle leg (£7,989), at the PSPC 2020, for the €22,500 event that will be held in Barcelona.

The tournament entry is £120+£20 and players receive 30,000 chips in exchange, with unlimited re-entries available until the end of Level 12. Levels last 30 minutes and there will be a break every two hours. Play is scheduled to conclude when Level 16 has been completed, at around 2:45am local time.

*Each Platinum Pass (worth approx. $30,000) includes:

Buy-in to the €22,500 PSPC 2020 event
Six nights’ hotel accommodation for two people in a 5* Barcelona Hotel
Airport transfers
Bespoke PSPC Merchandise
€1,250 to cover expenses
Platinum Pass winner experiences during the event
