James Moves on Green

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Play was on the turn when PokerNews arrived at the table and the board read {6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

Simon Green was first to act, playing from the big blind position, and he bet 10,000 into the pot. Alex James (middle position) responded by moving all in and Green didn't like it enough to call.

Miller on the Rise

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Gary Miller has been building a stack. His most recently acquired chips came in a hand just now, where he called a cutoff all in from the big blind and won a race with {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} to eliminate his opponent who held pocket-eights.

The flop ran out {2-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Diamonds} giving Miller a pair of kings, which held through the {j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} turn and river.

Assorted Counts

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jay Patel and Vasil Bozhkov have both lost some chips, whereas Simon Green is back to where he was after winning a pot with pocket-aces vs pocket-jacks.

Thomas Winstone has also been eliminated for the final time today, as late registration has ended.

One Pair Good for Mcgilly

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Richard Watts opened the action to 6,000 in middle position and Terence Mcgilly and Zanas Lubys defended in the small and big blinds respectively.

On the {5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, it was checked to Watts, who continued for 11,000 and only Mcgilly came along.

The {4-Clubs} turn saw no betting, with a check apiece, taking them to a {10-Spades} river. Mcgilly led for 10,000 and Watts called, saying "Come on, show me the ace" when Mcgilly didn't immediately turn over his cards. Mcgilly did just that, showing {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Watts sent his cards into the muck.

Miskelly Squeezes

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

There was a 6,000 open and two flat calls in front, before William Miskelly shipped for 60,500. Only one player called and Miskelly was the player at risk with the best of it.

William Miskelly: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board was a low-ball {6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Miskelly secures himself a double plus change.
