Familiar Faces in the Field

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

There are some familiar facies in the running already. Former Premier League footballer Jimmy Kebe is already in contention. Other early birds are Jen Mason, Richard King and Justin Bateson.

It's Bateson's second attempt to win a Platinum Pass in this leg of the series, after bubbling a package in the London Hippodrome leg last month.

Final Two Starting Flights Take Place Today with Day 1g of the Main Event Starting at Noon

The Moneymaker’s Road to the PSPC Tour - London Leg continues with Days 1g and 1h playing out today here at Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City. After four days of starting flights Day 1g (which starts at 12pm) and Day 1h (which begins at 6pm) are the last two starting flights for this leg of the tour.

PokerStars Pro Chris Moneymaker finished top of the Day 1a field, netting 470,000 for his efforts. William Miskelly matched him with 470,000 accumulated in Day 1c on Wednesday. They were both surpassed by Victor Nitel in Day 1d yesterday after he finished the day with 490,000 but Edgar Drozdov is the one to catch though, as he takes through a monstrous 620,000 chips through from Day 1b on Tuesday.

A total of 37 players have made it through to Day 2 and 291 entries have generated £34,920 towards the prize pool so far (the numbers from flights 1e and 1g will be added to these figures just as soon as they have been confirmed). Costing just £120 + £20, the Main Event offers players the remarkable opportunity to win a Platinum Pass* package for the PSPC 2020 and live the poker dream of turning a small buy-in into life-changing money.

Once again players will receive 30,000 chips in exchange for their buy-in and there are unlimited re-entries available until the end of Level 12. Levels in the 12pm will last 30 minutes and in the 6pm flight they will be 20 minutes long. There will be a break every two hours, at the end of every fourth level. Play will conclude at the end of Level 15.

The turbo structure for this evening’s flight will ensure entrants have time to rest ahead of Day 2 tomorrow, which kicks off at 2pm local time. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, coverage will also begin on the live stream.

*Each Platinum Pass (worth approx. $30,000) includes:

Buy-in to the €22,500 PSPC 2020 event
Six nights’ hotel accommodation for two people in a 5* Barcelona Hotel
Airport transfers
Bespoke PSPC Merchandise
€1,250 to cover expenses
Platinum Pass winner experiences during the event
