Vitali Tasci Eliminated in 13th Place (£940)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Feature Table: Rungarun Thongnonsung opened to 160,000 and Vitali Tasci three-bet all in for 1,175,000, which Thongnonsung called.

Rungarun Thongnonsung: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Vitaliy Tasci: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

It was a classic flip and the {4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop was good news for Thongnonsung. She got out of her seat at this point and looked to be holding her breath through the {2-Spades} turn and {3-Clubs} river. That pot sees her move into the chip lead, whilst Tasci is down and out, taking home £940 to comfort himself with.

Georgian Georgescu Eliminated in 14th Place (£940)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Georgian Georgescu has been eliminated after back to back losses saw the end of his tournament campaign. The second beat came after he raised all in with {a-Spades}{10-Hearts} over 160,000 open by [Removed:148] who had him dominated with {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

There was no reprieve on the {6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs} board and Georgescu looked disappointed as he got up to leave the table.

Chris Moneymaker Eliminated in 15th Place (£940)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

Feature Table: Down to just a few big blinds, Chris Moneymaker began the last hand in trouble (stack-wise) and has failed to spin up after clashing with Gary Miller. The two players were sat in the blinds and Miller set Moneymaker all in, with the PokerStars pro calling for 490,000 total.

Gary Miller: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Chris Moneymaker: {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

A queen on the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop gave Miller top pair but there was a sweat with Moneymaker hitting a straight draw. Miller improved to two pair on the {a-Hearts} turn and the {3-Hearts} river was a brick. It sees the end to Moneymaker's deep run and Miller pulls ahead of the pack with effectively 3 million in chips.

Atanos Pavlos Eliminated in 16th Place (£940)

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Out of only 6 big blinds, Atanas Pavlos opened under the gun and Nikolay Ponomarev defended his big blind. The flop came {k-}{j-}{7-} and Ponomarev set Pavlos all in. He called and turned over queen-nine but was in very bad shape against Ponomarev's queen-ten. The turn and river didn't help him and Pavlos exits in 16th place.

Bad Luck for Duarte, Good Luck for Tasci

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Nuno Duarte limped blind v blind and Vitali Tasci raised to 210,000, which Duarte called.

On the {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop, Duarte moved all in for 700,000 and Tasci thought about it for 30 seconds before calling. Duarte had flopped the straight flush draw with {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Tasci had to dodge a lot of outs to win the pot with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

The {a-Spades} turn improved Tasci and he managed to fade the {2-Diamonds} river. After tha pot Tasci's stack is worth around 10% of the toal chips in play.

Moneymaker Up, Sweeney Out

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Feature Table: Peter Sweeney open jammed with {a-Spades}{6-Spades} on the button and Chris Moneymaker called with {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} in the big blind.

The hand went the PokerStars Pro's way with the completed board reading {8-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Sweeney busts, netting Moneymaker an above-average sized stack in the process.
