Colin Downer, who played yesterday's Day 1a, is back in action in the early levels of a fresh flight, undaunted by playing out of position with a shark-themed Chris Moneymaker. They recently saw a flop of , Downer swiftly check-raising Moneymaker's 3,000 bet to 11,000.
"Pocket threes?" mused Moneymaker, before throwing his hand away.

A hand that started cagily four-way ended up denting Chris Moneymaker's stack. Glenn Day made the first optional action with a limp in the cutoff for 300. Button Jeff Kimber raised to 1,000, picking up both blinds (Filippo Scialo and Moneymaker) and Day for the flop: . Four checks later, a turn: . Again, no one exercised their right to put any more chips into the pot.
The river, however, saw action. When the came down, Scialo led out for 1,000 and Moneymaker raised to 6,500. Day immediately threw in the call while Scialo passed. Moneymaker called his opponent's hand: "Guess you got a straight. So do I..." but the bad news was that it was the nut version.
Moneymaker:
Day:
"Good river!" announced Day, raking in the pot.
"Very bad river," countered Moneymaker.

Paul Herbertson has been eliminated after moving all-in on a three-way flop of for 4,900 (around pot), called by both opponents. The action accompanying the turn could not have given him much confidence: the player first to act bet out 5,000 and was raised to 10,000 by Dawn Burnip. After the first player folded, Herbertson tabled and announced with calm understatement, "That'll do," when he saw the in her hand. He was drawing dead, tapped the table and made his exit.

A huge pot at the end of Level 4 has handed Hamza Nasir the chip lead and eliminated Jeff Kimber in the process. A three-bet preflop pot (from 1,900 to 5,600) saw three players see a flop with over half a starting stack in the middle already. The third player checked, Nasir led out 10,000 and Kimber called.
The turn: . Nasir fired another 20,000 and Kimber called once more.
The river: . Nasir moved all in for 19,500 and after a bit of a think, Kimber called all-in for slightly less.
Nasir showed down and though Kimber mucked it was not before the flashed. He now has 15 minutes to regroup, re-enter and rejoin battle at the felt.
