The cutoff opened to 300 before getting a call on the button. The small blind folded and action was on Jason Wu in the small blind who put in a three-bet to 1,600. Both players called.

The A♣K♠10♦ flop landed and Wu continued for 2,000. The cutoff called and the button folded on their way to a 9♣ turn.

Wu didn't slow down and bet again for 4,000. The cutoff wasted little time and called again before the 4♣ river rolled off.

The action slowed down and checked through. Wu tabled K♦10♥ for a light three-bet that turned into a flopped two pair. The cutoff mucked.

Bussieres Send Nasreddine to the Re-Entry Desk

Jonathan Bussieres raised to 500 from under the gun only to see Rania Nasreddine jam for 6,500 from middle position. Bussieres made the call to set up a runout with Nasreddine at risk.

The board ran out 6♣10♣7♣4♠A♣, securing the pot for Bussieres as Nasreddine headed to the registration desk where she chose to enter the earlier flight which is still running alongside the later flight.

Raymond Shows Up With an Unlikely Hand

Action folded to the button who opened for 500 before Cody Raymond put in a cold three-bet from the small blind to 2,000. The button called and they were off to a flop heads up.

The A♥2♣5♥ flop hit the felt and Raymond continued for another bet of 1,700. The button called.

The 4♥ hit the turn and action slowed down and checked through to a 2♥ river.

Raymond took a moment and then made one more bet of 5,000. After about a minute in the tank, the button flicked in a call and got the bad news.

Raymond rolled over K♠3♠ for the turned straight and the button's cards hit the muck.

Zormpas Makes Nines Work in Three-Bet Pot

Christos Zormpas raised from under the gun to 1,200 only to see the player in the big blind count out a three-bet totaling 3,400. Zormpas made the call to see the dealer bring out the 9♣7♦J♥ flop.

The player in the big blind continued and tossed out a bet worth 4,500. Zormpas made the call and the dealer burned and turned the K♦ river.

Both players opted to check through and see the river come the 7♠.

Both players checked through once more and the big blind player turned up the A♣Q♠ but would finish second best to the Q♥9♥ of Zormpas who pushed his cards forward and collected the pot.

Kyte Running Hot

Hand #1:

Jon Kyte opened the cutoff to 800 before only the big blind came along with a call.

The K♣J♠6♦ flop landed and action quickly checked through to a 5♦ turn.

The big blind check-called a 1,000 bet from Kyte on their way to a 4♥ river. The big blind checked again and Kyte put out one more bet of 2,800. The big blind snap-called and Kyte showed down the K♦10♥ for top pair and the win.

Hand #2:

The very next hand Kyte opened in middle position to 800 and got called on the button and in the big blind.

The J♦9♠Q♠ flop landed and action checked to Kyte who continued the story for 1,400.

Unfortunately, he got folds in both spots but scooped his second pot in a row to gain some momentum as the first break of the day approached.

Nugmanov Takes Down a Small One Just Before Break

A player in late position raised to 800 and found two callers in both Arman Nugmanov from the small blind and the player in the big blind before seeing a flop of J♦5♥3♦.

All three players checked through to bring the 9♣ out on the turn.

Nugmanov lead from the small blind with a bet of 1,000. The big blind folded but the late position player made the call to see the 4♥ fall on the river.

Both players quickly checked through to showdown and Nugmanov turned over the 6♦6♣ which was good enough to send his opponent's cards into the muck as the dealer pushed the pot in his direction.
