Hohner Applies the Pressure

Steven McKuin raised to 4,000 in middle position and was three-bet by Ryan Hohner on the button to 13,000. McKuin called.

The flop came K29 and McKuin check-called a bet of 8,000 from Hohner.

On the 5 turn, McKuin checked again and Hohner sized up with a bet of 32,000. McKuin thought for a moment before giving up his hand.

On Thursday night, Event #23: $550 Cardplayer Lifestyle H.E.R.O.S. attracted 108 entries and awarded a $51,840 prize pool. That was paid out to the top 15 finishers including Scott Fitzhugh (13th - $1,050), Allyn Shulman (10th - $1,260), and Ari Engel (9th - $1,510), who was also busy winning his fourth World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet in an online event.

The final table had some familiar faces such as Jackson Traub (5th - $3,690) and Matthew Schultz (4th - $4,800), and in the end the final three stuck and ICM deal that saw was poker pro David Prociak take home $10,100 in prize money and the Spadie trophy.

It was another win on Prociak’s impressive poker resumé which is comprised of three WSOP bracelets, two Circuit rings, two RGPS rings, both PGT and SHRPO titles, and includes over $2.5 million in earnings according to the Hendon Mob.

Coleman Continues to Climb

David Coleman raised to 4,000 in middle position and John Racener defended in the big blind.

The flop came JJ9 and Racener check-called a bet of 3,000 from Coleman.

The 6 turn went check-check, bringing the 10 river. Racener checked for a third time and Coleman put out a bet of 12,500.

Racener thought for a brief moment before tossing his cards into the muck.

Hardcastle Holds and Knocks Out Desilva

Jack Hardcastle opened the action with a raise to 4,000 from middle position. Then Upeshka Desilva in the hijack three-bet to 10,500. It folded back to Hardcastle who four-bet all in for Desilva's stack of 58,500, which Desilva quickly called.

Desilva was at risk and would need to improve past the pocket queens of Hardcastle to stay in the tournament. But when the board ran out 44989 the pocket queens of Hardcastle remained rest, to give him the pot and eliminate Desilva.

Wysotchanski Chipping Up

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Andrew Lichtenberger raised to 3,000 under the gun and was three-bet by Justin Liberto in the cutoff to 9,000.

Wagner Wysotchanski then cold four-bet to 21,000 out of the small blind, resulting in folds from both Lichtenberger and Liberto.

Eskenazi Makes Trips

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action folded to Sam Soverel who raised to 3,000 from middle position, and was called by the big blind Scott Eskenazi.

Eskenazi then check-called bets from Soverel for 3,000 after the 23J flop, and a bet of 11,000 after the 6 turn.

The river was the 6 and both players checked to showdown. Eskenazi tabled 64 for trip sixes, which made Soverel muck his hand and give the pot to Eskenazi.
