Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Peter Mugar
Peter Mugar

Terrance Reid opened to 10,000 in middle position and Peter Mugar three-bet to 35,000 in middle position. Kitty Kuo cold-called in the cutoff and Reid also called.

Reid checked on the flop of 77Q and Mugar continued for 30,000. Kuo and Reid both called. Reid checked again on the 4 turn and Mugar sized up to 65,000. Kuo folded and Reid called.

Reid checked once more on the Q river and Mugar checked back. Reid showed 1010, but it was no good against the KK of Mugar.

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

In a battle between the blinds, Maksim Kniter bet 15,000 on a flop of Q97 and John Monnette moved all in for 86,000. Kniter called to put Monnette at risk.

John Monnette: Q10 All in
Maksim Kniter: A6

Tran Takes the Rest from Serock

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

After losing the majority of his stack, WSOP Main Event final tablist Joe Serock was short in the big blind.

When the action folded to Luther Tran in the small blind, he raised enough to put Serock all-in and he snap-called for 45,000 effective.

Joe Serock: A3 All in
Luther Tran: K7

Serock was ahead with ace high but Tran had two live cards. The J74 flop vaulted Tran into the lead and nothing changed on the Q turn. The K on the river added insult to injury as Serock hit the exit in 100th place after another cash.

Tamayo Bets Into Bohmerwald's Aces; Fritz Doubles Off Song

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Heads-up on a board of 210610, Jonathan Tamayo bet 27,000 from the button and Michael Bohmerwald called in middle position.

The river was the 5 and Tamayo bet another 77,000. Bohmerwald again called and Tamayo showed KJ. Bohmerwald turned over AA to win the pot.

At the same time at another table, Manuel Fritz doubled up to more than 550,000 when he picked up aces against Yunkyu Song's ace-king.

"Do I have any future in this tournament?" Song wondered after the hand.

"Of course you do. I see you at the final table," Fritz told him.

Yunkyu Song
Yunkyu Song

A few hands after handing over a massive double up to Manuel Fritz, Yunkyu Song went heads-up to the turn against Jonathan Newman with the board showing 26610.

Song then bet 48,000 from the big blind and Newman called in the hijack. The river was the 10 and Song bet 108,000.

Newman took a minute before calling once more as Song turned over 86 for a full house. Newman mucked and Song raked in the big pot.

Vierling called another bet from Hart on the Q turn, this time for 50,000.

Everyone Loves a Chop Pot! (Or Not)

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Justin Lapka opened to 10,000 from under the gun before Katrina Weaver jammed for her remaining 67,000 from middle position. The action folded to Marco Johnson in the big blind who tanked for a moment before he rejammed and Lapka folded.

Katrina Weaver: 88 All in
Marco Johnson: AQ

It was coinflip scenario with Weaver having the slight advantage. The 10107 flop kept Weaver in front and nothing changed on the 7 turn. However, the 7 on the river put a full house on the board that both opponents played as the pot was chopped.

"It could have been worse," mentioned Timothy Pai, although it was still a painful runout.

Yoon Shows a Jack After Big River Shove

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Brian Yoon
Brian Yoon

Shuofei Geng raised to 11,000 under the gun and Brian Yoon three-bet to 35,000 in early position. David Moses didn't see Yoon's three-bet and attempted to just call from the big blind.

"I don't get to keep the chips. They weren't any good anyway," Moses said as he left the bet in the pot and folded. Geng called and he and Yoon went heads-up to the 1023 flop.

Yoon continued for 22,000 and Geng called. The turn was the Q and Yoon bet another 66,000. Geng again called.

The river was the 6 and Yoon moved all in. While Geng was contemplating the decision for his last 170,000, tablemates Jeremy Becker and Christian De Leon gave each other their phones so they can follow each other on social media.

"What do you do? Your picture looks like you're a model," Becker told him.

"He's a foot porn model," Moses joked. "I should create an OnlyFans account. Those girls make millions," Moses added.

"You look like you would do well," De Leon replied.

Geng eventually flashed the 10 as he folded. The table agreed that the winner of each hand has to show one card. "If you have a jack, this would be the one to show," Becker said to Yoon, who indeed showed the J as he took the pot.

"This is the best table ever," De Leon said after the hand.
