Skyllas Gets a Big Blind Special

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action folded to Justin Vaysman on the button, and he raised to 2,500. The small blind folded, and Nicholas Skyllas in the big blind made the call.

The flop came 759 and Skyllas check-called a bet of 4,500 from Vaysman.

Both players elected to check after the 6 turn, and 3 river.

After Vaysman checked back Skyllas said "No bluff? I would've snapped" and tabled 76 for two pair, sevens and sixes to take the pot as Vaysman mucked his cards.

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1, 1 ante
Christopher Cochran
Christopher Cochran

Action folded to Christopher Cochran in middle position, and he raised to 3,200. It folded to the Nicholas Skyllas on the button, and he made the call. Once the blinds folded, it was heads up to the flop.

Both players checked after the 5A8 flop.

After the J on the turn, Cochran bet all in, for 35,500, and this sent Skyllas into the tank. After several minutes contemplating what Cochran could have, a player at the table called the clock on Skyllas. But as soon as the player called clock, Skyllas did put in the chips to call, putting Cochran at risk.

Christopher Cochran: AQ All in
Nicholas Skyllas: K10

Cochran was ahead with his pair of aces, but Skyllas had outs for a flush, or queen to make the best hand. But when the river came the 7 the pair of aces for Cochran were still best, to give him the double up.

Things Get Sweaty For Ju and His Aces

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1, 1 ante

Michael Lombardi raised to 3,500 from early position, before Peter Ju three-bet to 11,000. Then once it folded back to Lombardi, he four-bet to 28,000. Lu then five-bet all in, which was snap called by Lombardi.

Peter Ju: AA All in
Michael Lombardi: AA

Both players had pocket aces, and although it seemed likely to chop, the 742 flop did give Lombardi the free roll with running clubs. The 3 gave him the flush draw, and Ju would now need to fade a club to stay in the tournament. But the 8 hit the river, and the two players chopped the pot with their pocket aces.
