Sharpe Picks Off the Bluff
Level 13
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Max Sharpe raised to 6,000 from the hijack, and he was called by Christopher Hancock in the cutoff, and the big blind Matthew Sabia.
The three players checked to the turn after the 7♣A♦8♥ flop. The turn was the 8♣ and it checked to Hancock, who bet out 8,000. Sabia folded, and Sharpe made the call.
The river was the K♥ and Sharpe check-called a bet of 15,000. Hancock let Sharpe know he was good, and he tabled A♠J♥ for a pair of aces to take the pot.
