Chi-Jen Chu raised to 4,000 under the gun and was called by Mike Vanier in middle position and Dan Smith in the small blind. Dong Meng then three-bet to 23,000 in the big blind, and only Chu and Vanier called.
Meng checked the 9♦7♣4♦ flop and Chu bet 17,000. Vanier and Meng both called, and all three players checked the 5♦ turn.
Action was checked to Vanier on the 6♠ river and he announced all in, having both opponents covered. Meng quickly folded, but Chu tanked for several minutes before also giving up his hand as Vanier took the pot without a showdown.
