Latimer Gets There on the River, Green Invents a New Game
Level 20
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
"I'm going to start a new game. Double Deck No-Limit Hold'em. You could have suited aces," Richard Green said.
"Are the hand rankings the same?" Michael Berk asked.
"I don't know. I haven't thought about that," Green replied, suggesting the idea still had room for development.
Evan Sandberg then opened to 26,000 in the hijack, and both Green in the small blind and Phillip Latimer in the big blind called.
The flop came A♦6♦8♥ and Sandberg continued for 30,000. Both opponents called and the A♥ fell on the turn. Sandberg then bet 72,000, and only Latimer called.
Both players checked the J♦ river, and Latimer showed 9♦5♦ for a rivered flush to win the pot.
