Otto Kiiskinen opened to 45,000 from the hijack, and was met with a three-bet to 100,000 from Quoc Ly in the cutoff.
Action folded back to Kiiskinen, who called.
The 9♦8♦8♣ flop was checked to the 2♣ turn, where Kiiskinen promptly check-folded to a delayed continuation bet of 150,000 from Ly, flashing the A♦ as he did so.
Play is underway here in the final day of the 2025 Nordic & Baltic Championship Open Main Even. Stay tuned to PokerNews for all your coverage of the action, as we see who can land the six-figure first place prize and trophy.
A tremendous week of poker draws to a close today at Olympic Park Casino, Tallinn, as the €1,100 buy-in No Filter Nordic & Baltic Championship Open Main Event heads into its final day.
The tournament attracted a total of 358 entrants, creating a €340,100 prize pool, with the first-place prize money of €75,000 being topped up by €25,000 by Olybet, as per the tournament guarantee.
Only 16 players will return for Day 3 at noon local time, all chasing the €100,000 first-place prize, and it is Jae Kim of Norway who has put himself in prime position to land the six-figure score, after he caused carnage in the final session of Day 2.
Kim knocked out four opponents after the field was reduced to 24 players to amass a huge stack of 4,365,000, over 200 big blinds. He holds a significant lead over his closest challengers, Mikael Haapaniemi (1,640,000) and Otto Kiiskinen (1,575,000), both of Finland.
Kim and Kiiskinen would appear to have already secured career-best results, while Haapaniemi is targeting his second No Filter Poker Series title, having secured victory in a progressive bounty event at the inaugural No Filter Poker Series festival in June. (All figures courtesy of The Hendon Mob).
Mikael Haapaniemi
There are numerous talented players waiting in the wings to strike, including two Kings of Tallinn Main Event winners, 2023 victor Kai Lehto of Finland (930,000), and 2020 champion Johan Karlsson of Sweden (540,000), while Guillermo Gordo (1,495,000) will also be a dangerous opponent.
