Karam & Paniak Didn't Expect That
Level 2
: Blinds 400/600, 600 ante
Raoul Kahme made it 1,500 from middle position before Maksim Paniak three-bet the cutoff to 4,600. Ramzi Karam four-bet it up to 10,400 from the big blind, which Kahme called. Paniak bumped it up again to 36,200, and only Karam called.
With over 80,000 in the pot, the two players saw the dealer fan out a flop of 6♦J♥2♦. Karam started out with a check, and Paniak fired 20,000. Karam check-jammed for around 70,000, which Paniak quickly called.
Karam showed aces and Paniak dropped his head, paused a few seconds then turned over the other two aces for the same hand.
Ramzi Karam: A♥A♣
Maksim Paniak: A♦A♠
Paniak had the chance of hitting running diamonds to bust Karam, but the 9♥ turn ended that, and the 7♠ river meant they chopped the pot.
