Stoika's Boat Gets Him a Double-Up
Level 5
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Hassan Nashar limped under the gun before Roman Stoika raised to 4,500 from the next seat. Xiaosheng Zheng called from the big blind before Nashar limp-raised to 50,000. Stoika jammed for 100,000, and only Nashar called.
Hassan Nashar: A♣7♣
Roman Stoika: K♣K♥
Stoika was in the lead for now with the Cowboys, but Nasahr did have an ace or some clubs he could hit to win the pot.
However, the K♠J♠J♦ flop left Nashar needing running aces to win, as Stoika flopped a boat. The 8♥ fell on the turn, and the 9♣ appeared on the river, cementing Stoika's double-up through Nashar.
