Rahul Byrraju
Rahul Byrraju

Maher Nouira raised to 400,000 from middle position before Rahul Byrraju jammed the button for 4,025,000. Rob Yong quickly jammed over the top out of the big blind with the covering stack, which forced Nouira to fold A10.

Rob Yong: AK

Byrraju was in rough shape against Yong's Big Slick and found no help on the 4793K runout as Yong improved to a pair of kings.

Byrraju shook everyone's hand as he headed to the exit in eighth place, while Yong moved up to 23,500,000 in chips.

Lonis Steam-Rolling the Start of the Final Table

Level 17 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Jesse Lonis
Jesse Lonis

Rahul Byrraju completed from the small blind and Jesse Lonis checked his option in the big blind.

Byrraju checked the Q92 flop before Lonis fired a min-bet of 200,000. Byrraju made the call.

The A fell on the turn and Byrraju check-called a bet of 600,000 from Lonis.

Byrraju checked one more time when he saw the 5 complete the board. Lonis bet 975,000, which Byrraju reluctantly called.

Lonis turned over a flopped two pair with Q2 to take down the pot, as Byrraju mucked Q3.

Markkos Ladev Eliminated in 9th Place ($250,000)

Level 17 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Markkos Ladev
Markkos Ladev

After just a few hands at the final table, Jesse Lonis raised under the gun to 425,000 before Markkos Ladev three-bet the cutoff to 1,100,000. When it got back to Lonis, he four-bet ripped it to put Ladev all in. Ladev quickly called for his stack of 5,500,000.

Markkos Ladev: KK All in
Jesse Lonis: A2

Lonis had just a few big blinds more than Ladev and needed to find an ace or some spades to make Ladev the first elimination at the final table.

A safe flop of 3QJ came down for Ladev's Cowboys, and the 10 turn took away a possible out for Lonis. Only a two-outer king on the river would end Ladev's day early. Miraculously, the K completed the board to give Lonis a Broadway straight, sending Ladev to the rail in ninth place.

Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Phil Ivey raised the button to 400,000 and Mikita Badziakouski defended out of the big blind.

Badziakouski started with a check on the 395 flop, and Ivey bet 400,000. Badziakouski paused momentarily before check-raising to 1,200,000. Ivey jammed to put Badziakouski all in, and Badziakouski reluctantly called for his last 2,025,000.

Phil Ivey: QQ

Badziakouski was behind to Ivey's Ladies, and unless he got some help from the dealer, he would be the final table bubble boy of the $102,000 SHRS NLH Invitational.

The dealer burned a card, then rolled off the 3 on the turn, taking away Badziakouski's two pair outs. No nine hit the river as the 4 completed the board, and Badziakouski hit the rail in tenth place.

Kaladjurdjevic Puts Ladev in the Blender

Level 17 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

With QJ, Markkos Ladev raised from under the gun to 400,000, and only Dejan Kaladjurdjevic called on the button holding AJ.

Ladev check-called a bet of 325,000 from Kaladjurdjevic on the 6J9 flop, and the 4 rolled off on the turn.

A second check came from Ladev, and a second bet from Kaladjurdjevic, this time for 1,200,000. Again, Ladev called.

The A on the river got a final check from Ladev. Kaladjurdjevic jammed for Ladev's remaining 5,475,000, causing Ladev to go into the tank. Ultimately, Ladev folded, and Kaladjurdjevic moved up to over eleven million.
