Hissou's River Bomb Does the Trick

Level 2 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Sirzat Hissou opened from under the gun and got two calls from the big blinds in Manuel Fritz & Aliaksei Boika.

The flop came J7K and when it checked to Hissou, he continued for 6,000. Fritz then made it 22,000 out of the small blind, which Boika cold-called from the big blind, and HIssou also called.

A 5 on the turn saw Fritz fire for 75,000, which again his two opponents called relatively quickly to see the 2 fall on the river. This time, both Fritz and Boika checked, then Hissou announced a bet of 400,000.

Fritz and Boika both folded.

Morten Klein has hopped back in and joined the table with a fresh stack of 500,000.

Klein Shoves Into Aerts' Rivered Flush

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Tamas Adamszki opened the button to 6,000 and Morten Klein called in the small blind. Pieter Aerts bumped it up to 35,000 from the big blind, which got Adamszki to fold, but Klein came along.

On the 82A flop, Klein checked and Aerts continued for 15,000. Klein then stuck in a raise to 45,000, which Aerts called to see the 4 drop on the turn. Klein kept firing, this time for 70,000, and Aerts called.

A 7 filled out the board and after thinking for a while, Klein shoved, and Aerts snap-called to reveal the nuts with A10. Klein obviously couldn't beat that, and his hand was mucked while he hit the exit.

Hissou's Flopped Ten is Good

Level 1 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Daniel Rezaei opened the button to 6,000 and Sirzat Hissou called from the big blind.

The flop came 1054 and Hissou check-called a bet of 10,000 from Rezaei to the 7 turn, where again he went into check-call mode when Rezaei bet 40,000.

A 4 completed the boars and after Hissou checked for a third time, Rezaei took a few seconds to look at the board before he knuckled back. Hissou then flashed 108 for a pair of tens, which was good for the pot.

Onyx Club Trophies
Onyx Club Trophies

The 2025 Onyx Super High Roller Series continues today at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa with the $51,000 Onyx SHRS NLH Championship. The buy-in remains the same, the $5,000,000 guarantee remains the same, but instead of the originally planned two-day format the tournament will now be played out in a single day.

Players start with a 500,000 stack and will play seven-handed throughout, with the format shifting to a nine-handed final table. A shot clock is in effect from the first hand, keeping the pace quick and the action moving.

The Championship begins at 2 p.m. local time with 30-minute levels until a winner is crowned. Late registration remains open until the end of Level 12, around 8:30 p.m., with unlimited re-entries available during that time.
