Rezaei Doubles Up

Level 25 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Daniel Rezaei made it 2,000,000 from under the gun, leaving himself 200,000 behind. Jamil Wakil burned through a few time banks from the big blind before he shoved, and Rezaei called.

Daniel Rezaei: A2 All in
Jamil Wakil: 107

Rezaei's ace was in the lead, and he removed some of Wakil's outs on the 336 flop as he picked up a flush draw. The J turned bricked out, and Rezaei improved to the unneeded flush on the Q river to double up.

Wakil Makes the Right Call to Double Through Ghojehvand

Level 23 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Jamil Wakil
Jamil Wakil

Jamil Wakil opened the button to 800,000 and Armin Ghojehvand called from the big blind.

They saw a flop of A64, where Ghojehvand checked and Wakil bet 700,000. Ghojehvand then moved all in, which gave Wakil a test for the 4,200,000 he had behind.

Wakil started thinking out loud. "If you had an ace, you'd have shoved pre. You're the chip leader, you'd apply pressure," he said. Eventually, Wakil did call.

Jamil Wakil: QQ All in
Armin Ghojehvand: 75

Ghojehvand didn't have an ace, but he did have a straight draw, which meant any three or eight would end Wakil's run. However, the 210 runout was clean for the Canadian player, and he doubled up.
