Kulev Finds a Call Against Kanme; Iakobishvili Increases His Lead
Alex Kulev raised to 24,000 under the gun, Raoul Kanme three-bet to 65,000 in early position, and Kulev called.
The flop came K♥J♦10♠ and Kanme bet 40,000. Kulev called, and the J♣ fell on the turn.
Kulev then led out for 44,000 and Kanme called. The river was the A♦ and Kulev bet another 105,000. Kanme then raised to 300,000, and Kulev spent several minutes in the tank before calling.
Kanme showed A♠K♣ for two pair, but Kulev had K♦Q♦ for a straight to win the big pot. A tournament official then arrived to move him to a new table.
"Hit-and-running us, huh," Mehdi Chaoui joked.
At another table, Christophe Panetti was all in for 220,000 from the hijack and up against Gha Iakobishvili in the cutoff.
Christophe Panetti: A♠J♥
Gha Iakobishvili: A♥K♠
Iakobishvili had Panetti dominated, and the 10♠5♠10♦10♣Q♥ board earned him the knockout to send his stack up past 2,000,000.
