Van Ravenswoud Snaps Off Dam
Level 15
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Carlo van Ravenswoud raised to 140,000 in the hijack and was called by Martin Dam in the cutoff and big blind Sondre Sagstuen.
The flop came A♣4♥8♠ and Van Ravenwoud bet 140,000. Dam then moved all in for 425,000, Sagstuen folded, but Van Ravenswoud quickly called.
Martin Dam: A♠9♥7♠6♥
Carlo van Ravenswoud: A♦K♣Q♥3♣
Both players had top pair, but Van Ravenswoud was ahead with his king-kicker. Dam was looking to complete a straight draw and improved to two pair on the 7♥ turn, but Van Ravenswoud made aces and eights on the 8♣ river to win the pot and send Dam to the rail.
