Amiri Can't Beat Pu's Queens
Level 2
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Weiran Pu raised to 1,500 from the hijack before Vyacheslav Kardash called from the cutoff. Ehsan Amiri then squeezed to 6,800 from the big blind, and only Pu elected to continue.
Pu called the 5,500 continuation-bet from Amiri on the 3♥7♣5♣ flop before also calling Amiri's second barrel of 13,500 on the 10♦ turn.
The A♦ river checked through, and Amiri tabled 9♦9♥ for a pair of nines. However, Pu was ahead with Q♣Q♠, and the pot headed in his direction.
