Another flight of the $10,400 Premiere is in the books inside the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa as Day 1c played out during the Onyx High Roller Series. By the end of the night, a further 21 players had punched their tickets to Day 2 and locked up at least a min-cash.
Day 1c attracted 137 entries, while the ongoing Day 1d Turbo flight added a further 67 after late registration came to a close. That brought the total field size to 507 entries, with a maximum of 76 players set to return for Day 2, all guaranteed a share of the $5,000,000 prize pool. Geoffrey Mooney was the only player to qualify twice and has therefore secured himself a min-cash, bringing his biggest stack forward.
Ending at the top for the night was Artsiom Lasouski, who bagged 2,180,000 to become the overall chip leader through the first three flights and the only player to surpass the two-million-chip mark. Kadir Altinbasak finished second with 1,630,000, while Andrey Pateychuk rounded out the podium positions with 1,200,000.

Lasouski was in from the start, and although his first bullet didn't go according to plan, his second proved much more successful. He had already built one of the biggest stacks in the room by the time registration closed before pulling away from the rest after sending Jamil Wakil to the rail. Lasouski then hit a set of deuces to bust Xiaosheng Zheng near the money, helping him become the man to catch for Day 2.
Many new players, or those having another shot at building a stack, were on the felt throughout the day, with many falling short of the finish line. Among the notable names to hit the rail were Mehdi Chaoui, Felipe Ketzer, Daniel Rezaei, the 2019 WSOP Main Event champion Hossein Ensan, PLO end boss Eelis Parssinen, and Manig Loeser, who soft bubbled after running pocket jacks into two kings.
With the exit of Loeser and play now on the bubble, it didn't take long before Michael Allen shoved his incredibly short stack into the middle over a raise from Danilo Velasevic. Allen got it in good with ace-king suited, but he needed to hold against Velasevic's mighty queen-five offsuit. That wasn't to be, and Allen earned the unwanted title of bubble boy, and the remaining players bagged up with 34 minutes remaining in Level 15.
Some other notable names returning to the baize for Day 2 include Boris Kolev (1,105,000), Aleksejs Ponakovs (920,000), Maksim Shornikau (620,000), Ignat Liviu (575,000), and Milad Oghabian (470,000), who doubled just a few spots from the money against the eventual chip leader. Also surviving were Alexey Borovkov (455,000), Oshri Lahmani (425,000), Patrick Brooks (310,000), and Fabian Schmidt (20,000), who returns with just one big blind remaining.
Day 2 gets underway at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 10, when the survivors from the four opening flights will combine under one roof for the first time. Everyone returning is guaranteed a payday, with the official prize pool and payouts set to be announced shortly before cards hit the air. Blind levels will increase to 60 minutes, with the plan to play down until the final table is reached.

Danilo Velasevic raised to 40,000 from the cutoff before Michael Allen moved all in for 50,000 from the big blind. With just 10,000 more to call, Velasevic made the call.

Danilo Velasevic raised to 30,000 from under the gun, and Maksym Mamon called in the cutoff. Manig Loeser squeezed to 350,000 from the big blind, leaving himself with just a few big blinds behind. Velasevic folded, but Mamon jammed. Loeser called, putting himself at risk.

Loeser found himself on the unfortunate end of a cooler and needed a jack if he was to avoid becoming the soft bubble of Day 1c.
He found no help on the 6♣A♥7♥5♥A♠ runout, meaning Mamon's kings held up and Loeser was eliminated.

Ignat Liviu raised to 30,000 from under the gun, and Aleksejs Ponakovs called from the big blind.
Ponakovs checked on the Q♥K♣2♦ flop, and Liviu fired for 30,000. Ponakovs called.
A second check came from Ponakovs on the 6♦ turn. Liviu jammed for 175,000, and after giving it some thought, Ponakovs surrendered his cards.
At a nearby table, Daniel Koloszar was seen leaving his seat and has been eliminated, meaning the players are two away from bagging up.
