Badziakouski Takes the Chip Lead With Quads
Looking down at A♠10♠, 'Goofy' raised to 500,000 from early position, and Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 1,500,000 from the button.
Damir Gabdullin used a time bank before four-betting to 3,100,000 in the small blind, which got 'Goofy' to fold. After a few moments, Badziakouski five-bet to around 6,900,000 with just 25,000 behind. Gabdullin called, creating the biggest pot of the tournament so far.
The dealer spread the 3♣K♦7♠ flop, and both players checked to see the K♣ on the turn. Badziakouski tossed in his last chip, and Gabdullin called.
Mikita Badziakouski: K♠K♥
Damir Gabdullin: Q♠Q♦
It was a bit of a cooler preflop, and now with quad kings, Badziakouski became the new chip leader with eight players left.
The 8♥ on the river was irrelevant, and Badziakouski's stack grew to around 15,000,000, while Gabdullin dropped to under four million.
