Aido Makes the Call of the Tournament
Giorgiy Skhulukhiya raised to 600,000 from early position, and Sergio Aido defended from the big blind.
Aido checked the 10♠4♣3♥ flop, and Skhulukhiya fired the minimum of 300,000. Aido elected to continue with a call.
The 7♣ on the turn saw Aido change course and lead out for 400,000. Skhulukhiya wasn't going anywhere and made the call.
The K♥ completed the board, and Aido checked for a final time. Skhulukhiya then shoved, putting Aido to the ultimate test for his remaining 1,500,000.
Aido was well and truly in the blender. He burned through a handful of time banks before eventually flicking in the call for his tournament life.
Skhulukhiya could only table a complete bluff with A♦J♣, while Aido revealed 5♠5♦ for just a pair of fives. The hero call was good, earning Aido a double-up.
