However, today is for the High Rollers and we will be bringing you all the high-octane big buy-in tournament action from the two-day HK$100,000 OPC High Roller, which begins at 5pm local time (GMT+7).
While this is the first poker series held under the OPC banner, this is not the first time the Poker King Club and Venetian have hosted a successful tournament series. This time last year it was Taiwan's Chung Yuan Yu who hoisted the trophy in the HKD $80,000 Poker King Cup High Roller, defeating the 37-strong field to take down his first title and the HKD $1.02M ($131,000) first prize.
Players start with 50,000 in chips and have 40-minute levels in which to use them, with antes coming into play from level 2 onwards with Day 1 finishing at the end of level 9. The format offers unlimited re-entry until registration closes at start of level 13, at approximately 3.30pm on Thursday, May 24, meaning the sky really is the limit for those with deep enough pockets.

It hasn't taken long for this currently short-handed High Roller to give us some action.
Steven Zhou opened the cutoff to 600 and his only caller was Xia Qing Ji in the small blind. The two went heads-up to a flop, and Zhou continued for 800 when checked to. Ji made the call, bringing the turn. He checked again and Zhou didn't slow down, firing again for 2,100. Ji now check-raised to 5,600, and after giving it some thought Zhou made the call.
The completed the board on the river and Ji opted for a check. Zhou quickly led for 15,000, and Ji didn't take long to make the call. Zhou turned over for queen-high, while Ji took it down with for a flopped two pair.

Xia Qing Ji did not get to hold on to his new chips for very long and has passed them all over to Cyril Andre, with the Frenchman taking an early lead.
It was Ji the man driving the action with an early position open to 600 with Andre re-raising from the cutoff to 2,200. After the blinds bowed out Ji re-popped it to 6,300 in total and Andre made the call.
The flop saw Ji continuation-bet 6,600 with Andre calling in position once more to bring in the turn.
Ji reached for chips and loaded up another barrel, this one a slightly heftier 11,000, with Andre calling once again.
The river saw Ji mull over his options before pulling the trigger and moving all-in, eliciting an instant call from Andre. Ji rolled over for an ace-high airball, which was trailing to Andre's . Andre climbed to 96,000 after the hand, while Ji dropped to 21,000.

Yet another huge pot early on, this time shipped to the UK's Matthew Moss.
Xia Qing Ji opened the hijack to 600 and Tony Cheng just called from the cutoff. Moss looked up on the button before three-betting to 2,600, which got a fold from Ji and a call from Cheng.
The dealer laid a flop and Cheng checked. Moss continued for 2,100, and after Cheng called the landed on the river. Check check.
The fell on the river and when Cheng checked again Moss resumed his aggression for 6,800. Cheng now raised it up to 27,000, which gave Moss food for thought. He'd eventually call though, and when Cheng showed his Moss tabled for the winner.
