Geadah Draws Even With Ojeil

Chadi Ojeil open-raised to 210,000, and Omar Geadah moved all in for just about 50,000 more. With Ojeil calling, Geadah was at risk of elimination, but he showed down a strong {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. Ojeil turned over {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}, and Geadah was hoping to fade an ace to double up.

The board cooperated with his wishes as it ran {10-Hearts} {10-Spades} {4-Hearts} {8-Spades} {3-Spades}, doubling him up to right around 600,000. That loss drops Ojeil down to 690,000.

Geadah Getting Short

With the action folded around to the small blind, Imad Saab came in with a raise to 140,000, and big blind Omar Geadah came along with the call.

The flop showed up {10-Hearts} {6-Spades} {7-Spades}, and Geadah would fold to a bet of 200,000. Saab flashed his {10-Clubs} to ease his opponent's mind, but his chip stack has slipped to 280,000.

Saab Breaking Down

Over the course of the last two hands, Imad Saab has lost well over half of his once-massive stack.

On the first hand, he and Walid Rizkallah tangled up in a sizable pot. On the turn, the board showed {8-Hearts} {3-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}, and Rizkallah moved all in for 560,000. After some deep thought, Saab made quite a call with {5-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. Walid showed up no pair, but his {7-Hearts} {9-Hearts} was looking to fill a monster draw. The {5-Diamonds} that spiked the river gave Saab two pair but it completed Rizkallah's straight to give him a huge double up.

Saab - 1,340,000
Rizkallah - 1,490,000

*****

On the next hand, Chadi Ojeil moved all in under the gun, committing his final 440,000 to the pot. On around the table, Imad Saab made the call from the cutoff seat to put Ojeil at risk of elimination.

Showdown
Ojeil: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}
Saab: {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}

Things would turn sour once again for Saab as the board ran out {9-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {K-Clubs} {2-Diamonds}. With his two pair, Ojeil picks up a much-needed double up, working his stack up to exactly 1,000,000.

After those two consecutive losses, Saab has dropped all the way back to 895,000, now near the bottom of the pack once again.

Saab On Fire

Chadi Ojeil came in raising from the cutoff seat, making it 175,000 to skate. In the small blind, Imad Saab announced a re-raise, sliding out a total of 430,000. Ojeil called, putting a big pot up for grabs already.

Heads up, the flop came out {A-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {10-Hearts}, and Saab moved all in for 565,000. After some long deliberation, Ojeil made the call with the covering stack, his opponent's tournament life now on the line. Saab turned over {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs}, and he was thrilled to see that he had his opponent's {A-Spades} {2-Spades} out-kicked, poised for a double up. The turn {8-Clubs} kept him in the lead, and the {6-Spades} that filled out the river locked up the largest pot of the tournament for Imad Saab.

With that win, he has leapfrogged up to a whopping 2,060,000, dropping Ojeil down to just 450,000.

Matta Mounting a Charge

Walid Rizkallah opened with a cutoff raise to 160,000, and big blind Nabil Matta made the smooth call to see a flop. It showed up {5-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {8-Spades}, and Matta checked. Rizkallah continued out with another 200,000, and his opponent quickly called.

The turn card came the {2-Spades}, and this time Matta led out into the pot with 200,000 of his own chips. That was enough to get Rizkallah out of the way and send a nice chip-up pot over to Matta.

Rizkallah - 740,000
Matta - 1,710,000

Fadi Rolling

Looking down at a double for Fadi
Looking down at a double for Fadi
First into the pot from the hijack seat, Fadi Kamar moved all in for his last 305,000 chips. In the small blind, big stack Imad Saab thought it over for several minutes before making the call to put Kamar at risk.

Showdown
Kamar: {3-Spades} {3-Diamonds}
Saab: {A-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}

One never likes to see two of the same card on the flop when all in with a small pair, but alas, the dealer spread {J-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. The {Q-Hearts} that hit the turn added even more scare cards for the all-in Kamar, but the river {7-Hearts} was a safe blank. With his lowly threes holding up, Fadi Kamar has worked himself a double up, sitting now right on 700,000. That hit drops Saab back to 1,050,000.

Nicolas Zakhem Eliminated In 7th Place (US$77,000)

Nicolas Zakhem eliminated in 7th place
Walid Rizkallah opened to 100,000 from the hi-jack before Nicolas Zakhem committed his last 100,000 to the pot. Nabil Matta also made the call from the big blind.

The {5-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} was checked down to see Matta fire 60,000 at the pot while Zakhem wondered off visibly distraught when the Ace fell on the turn.

Rizkallah mucked his hand and Matta tabled his {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts} to send Zakhem to the rail when he angrily slammed down his {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} after being outdrawn on the turn.

Zakhem heads to the rail in 7th place for a tidy payday of US$77,000 for his efforts over the past three days.
