Nickildur Itching to Get Back Online

After Paddy Power's April Fools joke yesterday in which they claimed Nicky Power was high stakes pro Isildur, the former Irish Open finalist seems to have started believing it himself. "I'm itching to get back online," he smirked as I passed his table. "It's difficult, because the buy-in is just a big blind for me."

Spinning Jenny

After the glitz and glamour of the TV table, it's back to the grind for Jennifer Mason. She's just been forced to fold a 1,600 to an instant check-raise to 5,000 on a flop of {10-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}.

Neil Channing Wins Hand

Loves his mum.
Loves his mum.
Former Irish Open Champion Neil Channing complained that we hadn't posted once about him.

"My mum loves poker. Please post something at least like, 'Neil Channing completed a small blind or Channing limped...then folded' so she can go to bed happy."

At that point he limped under the gun before Cos Paparestis made it 1,225 behind and everyone else but Channing folded.

Channing check-called 1,500 on the {9-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {5-Spades} flop before both players checked the {3-Hearts} turn, the river was the {3-Diamonds} and Channing bet 1,800 which Paparestis called.

Channing flipped {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} to scoop and then suggested to us that the title of the post should be 'Ch-Ch-Ch-Channing!'

We thought this one was better.

Channing Traps

Neil Channing must have seen his fair share of James Bond films after the sneaky way he played this hand, flat-calling two preflop raises with kings.

With Jeff Kimber raising it up to 800 preflop with {A-?}{Q-?}, Channing called, only for another player to make it 2,900 to play. Kimber released his hand, and Channing called again.

With Kimber side-stepping out of the way, the two remaining players saw a {Q-?}{6-?}{2-?} flop where it went check, bet from Channing, call. On the raggy turn, Neil pushed all in, and although his opponent looked tempted (he also accidentally revealed a jack in the process), he ultimately opted for the fold.

"I haven't played any huge pots. Peaked at 20,000, but dropped to 6,000. Have around 13,000 now."
