Bubble Continues

Well after short break of organising the tables we're still on the bubble.

There's only be one all-in and call so far. Rudiger Weber held {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} against Jasse Nevalainen's {K-Hearts} {7-Hearts} and survived on a {4-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {2-Spades} board.

We're now playing an extra level after this so that Day 3 will not be so long.

Bubble Remains in Tact

There haven't been many updates of late, but for a reason: there haven't been many hands to update you on, the combination of TV cameras, crowd, and online qualifiers eager to evade the splash of the bubble making this second, perhaps, only to the WSOP Main Event in terms of how long it takes to complete a hand.

One lady who was all in, however, was Fiona Craig, her stack having whittled down to just 2,000 as she looked to creep into the money. So, when she went in before the big blind had reached her, it was of no surprise to see her turn over aces.

The man looking to please himself and the 72 other players remaining was Anders Rasmussen, his snowmen in search of a third eight to bust the bullets.

But alas, the {A-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop was rather decisive, and by the {J-Diamonds} turn it was all over, despite the academic {8-Diamonds} hitting the river.

Bubble Bubble Toil And Trouble

Anthony Reilly is our unlucky 74th place finisher, all-in with {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} against Jasse Nevalainen's {J-Hearts} {9-Hearts} with the board coming {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {5-Hearts} to eliminate on the cusp of greatness.

One more and everyone else gets some cash. Good thing too, Dublin is expensive...

Paparestis Fails to Assassinate Kennedy

On one of the far tables, Ben Roberts raised to 6,800, Anthony Kennedy flat called, and Cos Paparestis made it 15,000. Roberts folded, but Kennedy called.

On the {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, Kennedy checked, Paparestis nonchalantly threw in 10,000, and Kennedy moved all in for just 16,000 more.

The camera crew charged over, some thinking a decision had already been made, but it hadn't, and after a few seconds pause, and in front of the newly arrived cameras, Paperestis made the fold.

Kennedy revealed his hand to a select through: a set of eights.

Craig Survives

Fiona Craig must be a Star Trek fan as her clingon abilities are second to none.

Having evaded the blinds on her former table, she had a bit of breathing room on her next, but upon finding {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}, decided to shove her remaining 6,500 all in nonetheless.

The hand looking to pick her off was {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and although the board came a tantalizing {8-Clubs}{J-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Craig once again ducked poker's Grim Reaper to fight another day.

Bubble Bursts Amid Chaos

We had three seperate all-ins on three different tables which took much time to sort out.

The official bubble was Michael Jens Odderskjer who moved all-in for his last big blind or so and got called by Steven King, Andy Miles and Keith Hawkins who all checked the {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} board down.

Odderskjer was all set to leave but with the other hands still going on, he was forced to wait so as to not upset what was going on at the tables. Finally Steven King showed a winning {K-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} and Odderskjer had {Q-Hearts} {4-Diamonds}, which bemused others as to how long he waited before pushing.

Meanwhile Kaj Emmanuel was all-in on a {K-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {4-Spades} against Liam Flood. Emmanuel flipped over {9-?} {9-?} and Flood turned over a {J-?} before finally turning over a {K-?} as well for an unneccesary slowroll.

A {J-?} on the turn and a {10-?} on the river and Emmanuel is out on 72nd place.

The irony is that if Odderskjer had folded he would've made the money instead with a solitary big blind.
