David Benyamine Doubles Through Kelly Kim

Yılmaz Oguz and Van Marcus limped from middle position, David Benyamine limped from the hijack, Kelly Kim called from the small blind, and Kfir Yamin checked his option.

The flop fell {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and it was checked around, landing the {7-Diamonds} on the turn. Kim bet 12,500 and Oguz was the lone caller, until Benyamine went all in for 48,000. Kim called, Ugoz folded, and the hands were revealed.

Benyamine: {J-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Kim: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}

The river was the {2-Clubs} and Benyamine doubled to about 140,000 with the straight. Kim has about 285,000 after the hand.

Somer Busts Schlobach and Doubles Through Kim

Kari Somer opened to 13,500 in early position and Michael Schlobach re-raised all in for about 80,000 from the cutoff. Kelly Kim was in the small blind and he shoved, getting a snap all-in call from Somer.

Somer: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Schlobach: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Kim: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came down {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}, giving Somer the massive pot.

Kim is down to about 163,000 while Somer vaulted to about 488,000.

Marcus Tanks

Van Marcus
Van Marcus

Kelly Kim opened with a raise to 14,000 from middle position and Van Marcus called out of the big blind after confirming how deep Kim was playing. The two took a flop of {J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Marcus check-called a bet of 15,000 from Kim.

The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and both players checked. The river completed the board with the {8-Hearts} and Marcus checked again. Kim fired 34,000 and Marcus tanked for a while. He eventually folded and left himself with 230,000 while Kim increased to 195,000.

Calling with Jack High

Action folded to Van Marcus in the small blind and he limped in. David Benyamine checked his option in the big blind and they went to a flop, which came the {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Both players checked to see the {7-Diamonds} on the turn. Both checked again and the {K-Spades} plopped down on the river. Marcus fired the minimum for 6,000 and Benyamine called.

What'd he call with? Well, just the {J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for jack high. Marcus mucked and the table reveled about Benyamine being the best.

Mizrachi Comes from Behind To Double

Eric, the only Mizrachi left in this one
Eric, the only Mizrachi left in this one

Eric Mizrachi was in the hijack seat and raised to 70,000, which was basically all of his chips. Zsolt Vasvenszki was in the small blind and moved all in. Bruno Stefanelli folded from the big blind, laying down pocket sevens. Mizrachi then called of his last 15,000 with the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. He was behind and in need of a lot of help against the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for Vasvenszki.

The flop was big for Mizrachi, coming down {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and spiking him a set of tens. He vaulted to the lead in the hand and was able to hold up from there after the {4-Spades} hit the turn and the {J-Clubs} hit the river.

Mizrachi's now up to about 180,000 while Vasvenszki dropped back to 305,000.

Preflop Raising Wars

From early-middle position, David Benyamine raised to 16,000. Action folded over to Kfir Yamin in the cutoff seat and he fired in a three-bet to 37,000. The button and two blinds folded before Benyamine also tossed in his cards, dropped to 192,000. Yamin increased to about 160,000 and showed the {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

On another table, Andreas Krause raised to 12,000 from the cutoff seat. Jeff Hakim reraised to 30,000 from the small blind. Krause four-bet to 61,000 and that sent Hakim into the tank. He eventually mucked his hand and dropped to 80,000 in chips. Krause increased to 250,000.

Bru-NOOOOO!

Stefanelli eliminated
Stefanelli eliminated

Zsolt Vasvenszki opened with a raise and then Bruno Stefanelli three-bet to 31,000. Vasvenszki's original bet size was unknown. Vasvenszki then four-bet to 164,000. Stefanelli thought long and hard before committing all of his chips. His {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} was up against (and crushed by) the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} for Vasvenszki.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Stefanelli was sent to the rail in 24th place, just a handful of spots short of the money. Vasvenszki now has about 475,000 big ones.
