Ian Simpson Runs into a Straight

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Ian Simpson opened the action in the cutoff to 900 and both Robert Mathers in the small blind, and the big blind called.

The flop landed {J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Simpson continued for 1,100 with just the big blind coming along before both players checked the {10-Spades} on the turn.

The river landed the {8-Clubs} and the big blind led out for 2,700 with Simpson calling.

The big blind tabled his {10-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a straight, and Simpson mucked.

Valdez Takes it on the Turn

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Following a limp in late position, and a complete from the small blind, Starr Valdez checked her option in the big blind.

The flop landed {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the action was checked around to see the {3-Spades} fall on the turn.

The small blind led out for 1,000 and Valdez pumped it up to 2,400. The initial limper folded, as did the small blind, and Valdez scooped the pot.

Rusnak's Jack Flushed Out

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a flop of {5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}, the under the gun player bet out 1,800 and was called by his opponent next to act before Frank Rusnak raised to 4,450 from the next seat over.

Once the action was back on the under the gun player, he moved all in for 10,400 to force the player caught in the middle out. Rusnak called the additional amount, and the cards were tabled.

Rusnak: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

With Rusnak needing to fade a spade or an ace to eliminate his opponent, the {Q-Clubs} on the turn changed little.

However it would be the {9-Spades} on the river that would see his opponent make a flush to double as Rusnak dropped down to 63,000 in chips.

Terry Fleischer Boski'd Out the Door

Level 8 : 250/500, 75 ante
Terry Fleischer
Terry Fleischer

Terry Fleischer opened the action in the hijack with a raise to 2,000 before Jeff Sluzinski three-bet his button to 6,500.

The action folded back to Fleischer, and he called, and then checked the {Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} flop over to Sluzinski.

After asking to see how many pink 5,000-denomination chips Fleischer had remaining, Sluzinski opted for a bet of 4,000. Fleischer called, and when the turn landed the {5-Diamonds}, he pushed all in for roughly 8,900. Sluzinski called quicker then one of his boxer dogs would launch at a home cooked steak left sitting idle on the dinning table.

Fleischer: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Sluzinski: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

With Fleischer drawing dead, the river landed the {9-Spades}, and he was bundled out the door by Sluzinski who collected the pot and motored up to roughly 52,000 in chips.
