Petronack Chipping Up Early

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Hand #1:

A player limped in from under the gun and was raised to 400 by Jeff Petronack, who was in the hijack. Jon Hanner three-bet to 1,500 out of the cutoff and action folded back to the limper, who folded. Petronackfolded as well and Hanner took down the pot.

Hand #2:

On the following hand, Petronackopened to 300 from under the gun. Hanner threw out a T1,000 chip and announced a raise, prompting action to fold back to Petronack, who put in a four-bet to 3,200. Hanner called.

The flop fell {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Petronackthrew out a continuation-bet of 3,000. Hanner thought for a few seconds and then sent his cards to the muck.

Welcome To the Canterbury Park 2019 Fall Poker Classic $2,500 High Roller

Canterbury Park
Canterbury Park

The Canterbury Park 2019 Fall Poker Classic has seen nearly two weeks of preliminary events run to completion throughout the month of October, and it’s time for the $2,500 High Roller event. This event marks the beginning of the final weekend of the series, though action is still only getting started.

2019 marks a new placement for the High Roller within the Fall Classic’s schedule. While previous years have seen the event either at the beginning or the middle of the festival, this year’s version will take place immediately before the $1,100 Main Event that will take place Friday through Sunday with the hopes of a record-setting field.

Players will receive 30,000 in chips to start with blinds beginning at 100/100. Levels will last 40 minutes each with 10-minute breaks at the conclusion of every three levels. There will be a 40-minute dinner break after Level 6, and late registration will remain open until the end of Level 12 at approximately 10:10 p.m. local time.

Cards are in the air at 1 p.m. local time with 14 levels on tap for Day 1. The High Roller is a two-day event, meaning all remaining players will bag and tag their chips before returning to blinds of 2,000/4,000/4,000 to play down to a winner on Friday.

PokerNews will be providing updates all tournament long. Be sure to keep it here to catch all the action.
