Spain Outkicks Belland

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

There was 2,700 in the middle from preflop action in a four-way pot between Yao Yin in early position, Brittany Spain on his direct left, a player in middle position, and Steven Belland, who was on the button. The flop came {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Yao was first to act and checked. Spain then bet 1,100 and received a fold from the middle-position player, a call from Belland, and a fold from Yao.

Action went heads up to the turn {4-Spades} and Spain checked. Belland put out a bet of 2,600 and Spain made the call, bringing the river {7-Diamonds} where both players checked to take the hand to showdown.

Spain looked up at Belland to see if he would show first. He did not. She gave a half shrug and tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

"Tens and sevens with a king kicker," announced the dealer. Belland looked back at his hand and then sent it to the muck, turning over {10-Clubs} in the process to show that he had been outkicked by Spain's king.

Kim Raises Out Hanner

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

There was close to 7,000 in the middle from preflop action on a flop reading {6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Action was heads up between Jon Hanner in the small blind and Jon Kim, who was on the button. Hanner threw out a bet of 2,500 and Kim took about 15 seconds before putting in a raise to 8,000. Hanner folded and the pot was sent Kim's way.

As Kim was raking in the pot, Hanner asked him if he had two queens. His response was not fully audible, though it was given in a manner that affirmed he had a strong hand.

Peppe Commentates His Own Hand

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Vic Peppe
Vic Peppe

The hijack opened to 700 and was three-bet by Vic Peppe, who was on the button, to 1,300. The small blind then cold four-bet to 3,100, getting a fold from the hijack and a call from Peppe.

The flop came {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} and the small blind checked.

"Did you miss ace-king?" said Peppe, throwing out a bet of 2,000. The small blind called. "Oh my God, he's got aces!" he added after being called. The turn was {8-Spades}.

""I can't bet," said Peppe as he tapped the felt to bring the river {2-Diamonds}. Both players checked again to take the hand to showdown.

"I win," said Peppe, tabling {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} upon checking back. His opponent sent his cards to the muck and the pot was shipped to Peppe.

Heller Sends Wazwaz To Reload

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

A player in early position opened the action with a raise to 500 and was called by players in middle position and in the cutoff. Nathan Heller was on the button and also called before Steve Wazwaz announced he was all in out of the big blind.

The original raiser asked for a count and Wazwaz's stack was totaled to be 6,100. He then folded. The player in middle position called, the cutoff folded, and Heller called to give Wazwaz a chance at more than a triple while any future action would go into a side pot.

The middle-position player and Heller checked to the river as the board came {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, where Heller was checked to once more before he announced that he was all in. He quickly got a fold and it was time for Heller and Wazwaz to table their hands.

Steve Wazwaz: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Nathan Heller: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Heller hit trips by the river and it was more than enough to beat Wazwaz's two unpaired cards. Heller had the pot sent his way. Meanwhile, Wazwaz was getting a massage and kindly asked for the timer to be stopped so he could go reload and get back in on the action. He is now back in the tournament area and walking to his new seat at this very moment.

Petersen Gets River Value; Field Up to 127

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Alex Petersen
Alex Petersen

There was around 6,000 in the middle on the river with a board of {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and three players with cards in front of themselves. Action checked to Alex Petersen, who was on the button and threw out a bet of 3,300. The small blind was next to act and thought for close to a minute before letting his hand go to put action onto the final player in the hand, who was in early position.

"Thirty-three?" asked the player. Petersen nodded. Moments later, the player threw chips into the middle and Petersen tabled his hand.

"Straight," said the dealer after Petersen turned over {10-Spades}{9-Spades}. The early-position player sent his cards to the muck and Petersen took down the pot.

Valder Cooked

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

There was 2,700 in the middle on a flop of {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} and action was on Rich Stevens, who was in the cutoff and had a bet of 1,200 out in front of him. He was facing an all-in check-raise by Ben Valder, who was in the big blind. Stevens asked how much the bet was and the dealer counted out Valder's stack to be 5,400. Stevens threw in chips to call.

Ben Valder: {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Rich Stevens: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Valder was in need of hitting a ten, a deuce, or a running pair that was higher than fives to stay alive in the tournament. The turn came {a-Hearts} to give him three more outs at a counterfeited double. Unfortunately for him, the river {5-Clubs} fell in Stevens' favor, giving him an unnecessary full house.

"Now you're showing off," Valder said with a smile as he got up from the table and made his way from the tournament area.

Perpich Wins on Turn

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

A player in middle position opened the action with a raise to 500 and was called by Vic Peppe, who was in the hijack. Bill Perpich was in the cutoff and three-bet to 1,700. The big blind cold-called and both the original raiser and Peppe came along as well to take action four ways to the streets.

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts} and action checked to Perpich, who put out a bet of 3,100. The big blind called, the original raiser folded, and Peppe called.

Action was then three ways as the turn came {a-Clubs} and action checked to Perpich once more. He threw out a bet of 5,500 and both the big blind and Peppe quickly folded, earning him the pot.
