Dai Doubles Into the Lead

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Yang Zhang opened the action with a raise to {8-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Liu Heng Dai defended with the {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. On the {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, Dai check-raised from 125,000 to 400,000 and Zhang reraised to 800,000 with his top two pair.

Dai double-checked his cards and jammed for 2.0 million in total, Zhang called instantly.

The {q-Hearts} on the turn was a blank but Dai's rail had reason to celebrate when the {k-Clubs} struck on the river to vault Dai into the chip lead for the very first time on the final table.

Dai Makes the Correct Call

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Yang Zhang raised with the {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Liu Heng Dai called with {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Dai check-called a bet on the {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Spades} flop and they checked the {7-Diamonds} turn.

After the {a-Diamonds} river, Dai checked and Zhang bet 275,000 into 440,000 to receive a reluctant call from Dai and drop some chips.

Feng Chen
Feng Chen

Right after the field had been reduced to the final three players, Feng Chen open-shoved out of the small blind for 510,000 and Liu Heng Dai in the big blind asked for a count. It didn't take long after for the call and the cards were turned over.

Feng Chen: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Liu Heng Dai: {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}

Both players hit a pair on the {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and Dai remained in the lead. Nothing changed with the {7-Hearts} turn and the river came a blank {10-Hearts} to send Chen out in third place for ₩71,830,000.

Yang Zhang will enter heads-up with a nearly 3-1 lead over Dai and both take a short break before battling for the title and trophy.

Bin Wang: {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Yang Zhang: {k-Clubs}{3-Spades}

On a board of {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, Wang was drawing dead on the turn and had to settle for 4th place and ₩58,832,000.

Bin Sun: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Yang Zhang: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

Nothing changed on the {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop but the {7-Clubs} turn gave Zhang yet another sent and sent Sun from chip leader to out in fifth place in a matter of minutes. The {8-Spades} on the river was a formality and Sun was already on his way to the payout desk to collect ₩47,202,000 for his efforts.

Zhang Doubles Into the Lead

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The action started with a button raise to 90,000 by Yang Zhang and Bin Sun in the small blind three-bet to 300,000. Zhang eyeballed the stack of Sun and gave it a mere 10 seconds before moving all in for around two million.

Sun asked for a count and splashed in the chips to let the rail jump up from their seats.

Yang Zhang: {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Bin Sun: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} flop gave Zhang a set and he locked up the double and chip lead as soon as the {j-Hearts} appeared on the turn. A meaningless {q-Clubs} on the river completed the board and Zhang merged as the comfortable chip leader with five players remaining.

Zhang Takes From Chen

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Yang Zhang raised it up with the {j-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Feng Chen defendced the {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to see the {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop. Chen checked and called a bet of 70,000 to the {6-Spades} turn, which he checked once more.

Zhang now made it 225,000 to go for roughly one third of the stack of his opponent, and Chen sent his cards into the muck.
