Tsuji Bad Beats Wu

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Yake Wu
Yake Wu

Yasuyuki Tsuji raised from early position and called the three-bet by Yake Wu in the hijack to then open-shove the {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop.

That took Wu by surprise and he tried to engage in table chat. "Do you have jacks?" Wu asked but received no reply. Eventually he called with a near identical stack and the cards were turned over.

Yasuyuki Tsuji: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Yake Wu: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The {a-Spades} turn was a blank but the {7-Clubs} struck on the river to let Tsuji double for 49,500, leaving Wu with a mountain to climb.

In the meanwhile, the huge tower of chips in front of Dengfeng Yu appears to have grown even more as he jumped above half a million in chips.

Yu Keeps Adding Chips

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

One of the two former remaining Red Dragon champions has been building his stack throughout the first two levels and appears to be among the current chip leaders. Dengfeng Yu just sent another player to the rail when he quickly called the all-in for 55,000 and was well ahead with {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} versus {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

There was no upset on the {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{a-Hearts} board and the chips were sent over to YU.

Lettau Felts Li

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Former Red Dragon champion Yifan Zheng has not done much yet on Day 2 and remains with nearly the exact stack he had to begin with while several players at his table already busted. New arrivals included Szymon Wysocki and Andre Lettau with the latter chipping up via double previously.

Lettau then raised to 6,000 and Xiaoxiang Li jammed for around 45,000 to pick up an instant call from Lettau.

Xiaoxiang Li: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Andre Lettau: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

On a board of {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, one nine was not enough to keep Li in contention.

Nguyen Cracks Aces to Bust Obara

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jun Obara
Jun Obara

Huijie Zhou raised the cutoff and Jun Obara called on the button. Huu Dung Nguyen three-bet to 34,500 and Zhou folded while Obara called with some 60,000 behind. After the {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, they got the remainder of the chips in with Obara at risk.

Jun Obara: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Huu Dung Nguyen: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The {4-Diamonds} turn provided some chop outs bu a cruel {k-Spades} river gave Nguyen a set of kings to bust Obara.

Enoki Doubles Through Huang

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Xinglong Huang raised to 7,000 and Tetsuya Enoki jammed for 68,000 from one seat over, Huang asked for a count and reluctantly called.

Tetsuya Enoki: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Xinglong Huang: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop gave Enoki top pair but Huang had a flush draw. Nothing changed on the {q-Spades} turn and {7-Hearts} river to let Enoki double.

Tajima Busts One

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On the {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} turn, a shorter stack jammed and Kosuke Tajima beat him into the pot to reveal the {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for top pair. His opponent had made a move at the wrong time with {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and was drawing dead, the {5-Hearts} river became a formality.

Zhao Runs Out of Chips

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Not long ago Nan Zhao was well above the average but he then lost a bigger pot and ended up all-in with a flip soon after.

He was called by Junwei Sun who tabled the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Zhao held a pair in {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

The board came {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and that spelled the end for Zhao. Dong Chen and Weijie Ren also departed on neighboring tables.

Zhong Takes From Jin

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A big pot of more than 140,000 had emerged and the board showed {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Xudong Jin checked and Jianbiao Zhong bet 50,000 with 83,000 behind from one seat over. Jin tanked for a long time and eventually let go.

Triple Up for Ke

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Huashu Ke had seen his stack reduced to crumbs after he doubled Jin Su and he was then all in for fewer than 10 big blinds, picking up calls by Bin Di and Yuanjun Lu. The active two players checked down the {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs} board and Ke tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for top pair and top kicker. Lu mucked and Di flashed {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.
