Meng Li raised to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Kirk Steele in the middle position. Jun Obara three-bet to 12,500 on the button for the blinds to fold. Li folded too but Steele shoved. Obara asked for a count and the dealer confirmed that Steele had 103,000 behind. Obara took some time and then made the call.

Kirk Steele: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Jun Obara: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for Obara to hold with the jacks to send Steele back to the cashier to reenter.

Two Small Pots for Steele

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Kirk Steele completed his small blind and Lei Yu opted to check in the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Steele bet 2,000 and Yu called. They both checked through the {2-Spades} on the turn and the {j-Hearts} on the river for Steele to claim the pot with {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the pair of queens.

A few hands later, Yu raised to 2,500 from under the gun and Steele defended his big blind. The flop came {2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Steele check-raised the 2,000 continuation-bet of Yu to 7,000. Yu took a few seconds and then opted to let this hand go.

Ma Chips Up Immediately

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Weihao Ma
Weihao Ma

In what looked like a raised and three-bet pot, the flop read {4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Weihao Ma bet 25,000 from the big blind and was called by Kirk Steele on the button.

The turn brought them the {2-Clubs} and Ma continued with a bet of 50,000 which Steele called quite quickly.

The river completed the board with the {q-Spades} and Ma fired another bet over the line, this time for 55,000. Steele made the call. Ma hesitated for a bit, seemingly confused if it was a call or raise. The dealer and Daniel William indicated that it was a call and that Ma could turn over his cards. Ma nodded and gingerly turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for the overpair of aces and that was more than enough to get Steele to muck his hand.
