Cor Hates That Turn

Level 8 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The action was picked up with around 11,000 in the pot, on a flop of Q8J. Spiral Cor bet 7,000 from the small blind with Brendan Quinn folding from the big blind, and Mircea Rus calling from middle position.

Cor bet 13,000 when the J came on the turn and was met by a shove from Rus. The shove was for the rest of Cor's 25,000 chips.

Cor thought it over for a while before slamming his fist down on top of the turn card and then folding. While Rus was pulling in the pot, the floor staff were called over to change the deck since Cor had damaged one of the cards when hitting the table.

Byrne Takes Out Freeman

Level 8 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Jamie Bryne
Jamie Bryne

With around 12,000 in pot, on a flop of 492, Joe Wrafter checked from the big blind, Stephen Freeman checked from the hijack, and Jamie Bryne bet 4,000 from the button. Wrafter folded, but Freeman called.

Freeman check-called another bet from Byrne on the 9 turn, this time for 6,500.

The 5 hit the river and Freeman checked. Bryne shoved for Freeman's remaining 30,000, and after doing some inventory, Freeman called.

Byrne turned over JJ for an overpair to the board, which was good as Freeman knuckled the table and showed A5 for just a pair of fives.

Campbell's Quads End Kilpatrick's Tournament

Level 7 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With the flop reading 1064, Stephen Campbell checked from the small blind and Steven Kilpatrick fired a bet of 2,100 from the hijack. Campbell check-raised to 7,000. Kilpatrick thought it over for a few moments before he three-bet shoved for around 20,000. Campbell snap-called.

Steven Kilpatrick : 109 All in
Stephen Campbell : 44

Kilpatrick was virtually drawing dead with top pair to the set of Campbell. The 4 turn gave Campbell quads, and meant Kilpatrick was eliminated, as the A came on the river.
