Johnson Rivers a Straight

Level 2 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Chris Schonbach opened from the hijack and was called by Adam Johnson on the button. Joe Sheehan defended his big blind before all three players checked through the 972 flop.

Sheehan checked again on the 10 turn, with Schonbach firing 700 into the middle. Johnson and Sheehan both called.

Both Sheehan and Schonbach checked the 8 river, and Johnson slid out a bet of 2,000. Sheehan folded while Schonbach made the call.

Johnson tabled KJ for a jack-high straight, good enough to earn the pot as Schonbach mucked.

Emmanouilidis Takes It Down on the River

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Yianni Emmanouilidis raised to 800 from early position and received a call from a player in late position. The player in the big blind came along as well and it was three-way action to a flop of 3Q5.

The trio all checked and the dealer burned and turned the 7. The big blind checked, as did Emmanouilidis, and the late-position player bet 1,200. Both the other players called and the 7 paired the board on the river.

The big blind checked and Emmanouilidis paused for a few beats before betting 3,500. That did the trick as both his opponents folded.

Despite winning that pot, Emmanouilidis is down a bit from the six-figure starting stack.

Collier Cracks Kings With Straight Flush

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Richard Collier
Richard Collier

Rob Guilbeault opened to 600 in middle position and Richard Collier made the call on the button. The small blind came along and checked after seeing the 252 flop.

Guilbeault fired 1,600, with only Collier making the call. The 6 turn saw Guilbeault lead out for 2,500 before Collier slid out a raise to 6,000. Guilbeault tossed out the call and the 7 river completed the board.

Guilbeault checked to Collier, who fired 12,000 into the middle. After a moment, Guilbeault made the call.

Collier turned over 43 for a straight flush, taking down the pot as Guilbeault mucked. He later told the table that he made the river call with pocket kings.

Aubin Fills Up

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Four-way action on the JKA flop was down to two after Alex Aubin fired a bet of 1,200 from the hijack and was check-called on his immediate right.

The A turn saw another check to Aubin, who continued for 2,000. The call was made and the dealer flipped over the 7 river, where action was checked to Aubin.

After a moment, Aubin slid out a bet of 6,000. The call was made and Aubin tabled AK for a full house, taking down a nice pot as A9 was revealed on his right.
